Have you heard this statement? βIf You Always Do What You've Always Done, You'll Always Get What You've Always Got.β ~ Henry Ford. Being under their control as to when you start & when you finish? When to go to the bathroom & how much you get paid? If you don't take a stand for yourself, take the time to look at what you truly want & do something different, how do you

Clowns are scary, agree or disagree?
When I was a young girl and we went to a circus I found that clowns could be very funny, from a distance. If one came right up close to me though, that was a different matter.
To see a clown right up and personal with the make-up, the big red lips and all the regalia they wear, was rather overwhelming and a bit scary. It was like nothing I ever saw on a daily basis. For children I think this is quite a regular reaction to clowns. What do you think?
This has made me think about a little while ago when some clowns were causing discomfort and fear in certain countries and areas. Causing fear among adults, not just children. I believe this was in 2016.

It's also made me think about masks in general and the effect they can have on me/us. Halloween masks and other ones that are obviously scary. Also, the masks that we can all wear every day. Some of those can be welcoming, inviting and pleasing. Others can be alarming, aggressive, unwelcome and scary.
Do you think libraries should revert back to being a place of silence, or do you like the new, more active & louder library? π
In the UK libraries used to be a place to go to be silent, to read, to research, study and contemplate.
When I was at school as a teenager I used to love going to my local library for some peace, to study and work on a project. It took me away from everyone and everything, like a retreat almost. π
Maybe it was getting away from life experiences as well. To find some solace in a place full of books and knowledge and silence, a good silence.
Now, looking back I can really appreciate that time and I realise how much I enjoyed doing that. The whole process, leaving home, walking to the library and then spending some time there on my own. It gave me a sense of independence, maturity, posture and pride, and I could do what I wanted, how I wanted, in my own unique way. πββοΈ
Isn't it funny how we can love an experience and have a good memory of it, without really realising the joy of that time and how that experience impacted us. At least, this is how it is for me as I remember that time.
Nowadays, certainly here in the UK, many libraries are no longer a place of silence and peace. They're more centred around activities and play groups. Meeting times for other groups and things like that. π€
There's nothing wrong with that, I just think that there are so few places these days that offer a space of silence, quiet and peace. Even cafes are geared up for noise, with constant music playing, people on phones, children, animals, etc.
I love a good cafe and again, nothing wrong with any of that, but oh how I crave a place to just sit in silence sometimes, a place that's outside of my own four walls.
When did it all become so noisy? π£ Silence is golden and such a pleasure to be in. π
I'd love to hear your views on this.
Thank you to Jon Tyson for this picture π

Take care and here's a cheers π₯ and a big thank you, π€² to be able to bring in another New Year. π
That's a blessing in itself. π
Now thereβs a great way to recycle β»οΈ
Any tears π you cried in 2022 you can use to π¦ water the seeds of your desires/goals for 2023.
I like this sentiment.
Rather than dwelling in a space of regret, anger & sadness etc, feel it and let it be.
Use that energy instead, as fuel β½οΈ to fire π₯ up what you want to bring about.
