It rained almost 4” Thursday and Friday which meant this weekend was made for catfishin. Put 91 fish in the boat over the last two days before the storms ran me off the water this afternoon. The prize of the weekend was this 16.54lb channel I put in the boat yesterday. That’s a big fish for around here. I’ve caught a few over 20 throughout the years but anything that breaks 15lbs is special. Back to the grind tomorrow hope y’all had a great weekend.

Absolutely smoked em again today. Fought a little frosty weather and the stupidest swirling winds all day, but ended up putting 127 fish in the boat and kept a nice mess for supper. Fish are moving shallower every day. All my fish today were caught with a 12’ vertical jigging over sunken brush.

Fishing is as good as it gets right now. Fish are starting to stage for the upcoming spawn. Caught well over a hundred fish today and kept a nice limit for supper.

Dead calm during the week, then this sh*t every weekend seems to be the trend this year. Don’t worry fish were still caught and videos were still made.

Slabs for days. For me, to be considered a slab crappie it needs to be 13”+. Most of these are in the 14” range. What do you consider a slab in your area?

Never thought saying “I went fishing this weekend” would be a status symbol. Drove to the lake today and caught a limit of crappie. Between fuel for my truck (90 mile round trip) and boat gas (couple three gallons) I figure these crappie fillets are worth about $4700.00 a pound. With this new found information I decided to update my online dating profile pic.
