Ivan Akimov (1755-1814) was a Russian painter born on December 27, 1755. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg and became known for his portraits, historical paintings, and genre scenes. Akimov was a member of the Imperial Academy of Arts and served as a professor of painting. He was known for his technical skill and attention to detail, and his work was highly regarded in his lifetime. Today, his paintings are housed in museums throughout Russia. Akimov died in St. Petersburg on October 4, 1814, at the age of 58.

Maria Djagoupova (1897-1975) was a painter and graphic artist who studied at the Drawing school of the Society for the encouragement of arts in Petrograd and the studio of Fedor Rerberg in Moscow. She lived in various cities in Russia, including Armavir and Leningrad, and was evacuated to Perm during the Great Patriotic War.
Djagoupova was the author of landscape paintings, portraits, still life, and thematic compositions. She executed designs for fabrics, propaganda posters, and illustrations for books. Djagoupova participated in exhibitions across the Soviet Union, and her works were exhibited abroad in Stockholm and Berlin. She was a member of the Union of artists of the USSR. In the second half of the 1950s, she worked extensively in the technique of color lithography and authored several songs.

Charles Grandon (1691-1762) was a French genre and portrait painter and educator, and a member of the French Academy of Painting and Sculpture. He was born in Lyon, France, the son of the artist Jean Grandon, from whom he received his first painting lessons.

In 1749, Grandon was appointed the official painter of the city of Lyon. In 1751, he received a commission to create 91 small portraits of local nobility, city officials, and merchants of Lyon, painted in oil on parchment. Among his students was Jean-Baptiste Greuze. Grandon's daughter, Jeanne-Marie, also became an artist and was married to the composer André Grétry.

Lawrence Alma-Tadema /1836-1912/ was a Dutch-British painter, born on January 8, 1836, in Dronrijp, Netherlands.
