The human spirit craves meaning because we were created with purpose hardwired within. Detached from meaning, your soul becomes weary.

It’s amazing how energizing hard work is when you know its value and see the results.

Meaning in your work starts with your clear calling and knowing you’re exactly where God wants you. Then, when you add your gifting, passion and you see results, the level of fulfillment is powerful.

It’s ironic how a discouraged soul can distance itself from God, the very source of soul nourishment and strength.❤️🌻

There is no situation we go through that is outside of God’s control.

Everything we go through is under his care.

That’s where we want to be.

Worry has a way of sticking in the mind. It can’t be explained away; it needs to be driven out.

Worry doesn’t add anything to your life. It doesn’t make you healthier. It doesn’t make you happier. It doesn’t even affect one bit whether or not something happens.

Our confidence only comes from the promise that God is.

God is all-loving. God is all-powerful. God is ever-watchful.

God is present with us in suffering, having demonstrated his love for us by dying on the cross.

Those “God is” realities transform our worries.🌻❤️

The fruit of the Spirit is . . . goodness.

Be imitators of God as dear children. § Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. § Be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

The fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.

When the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior. § The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. § He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

JUNE 27 | Big Things and Small Things | FIXING MY EYES ON JESUS

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

The very first verse of the Bible tells us God, as Creator, is active in big ways, like creating the heavens! What big thing are you confronting? A big decision? A commitment? Responsibility? A big problem?

The very first verse of the Bible tells us also that God is active in small things. He created the earth with its chemical elements, molecules, genes, and atoms— things so small they cannot be seen by the naked eye. What do you think is too small for God to notice? A small tear? A small hurt feeling? A small deed? A small insult? A small worry that’s robbing you of your joy?

God is actively involved in big things and small things.

Listen to me: trust the details of your life to the Creator of the heavens and the earth.

Wherever we go, God will be there waiting.

God is present everywhere.

Before we were even conceived, God knew you were coming. When you were but an embryo, God had his eye on you. When you were formed in the womb of your mother, he was waiting.

He has been calling us to himself.

God searches for us. He cares for us. And he wants us to know him.

God said, “And you will seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

The fact of the matter is that God will reveal himself to the true seeker.

God Is Everywhere, Waiting.

but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
31 Reward her for all she has done.
Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Good Friends

A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray. -Proverbs 12:26 (World English Bible)

We don't always end up with excellent outcomes due to the choices we've made. We don't get to choose how our life ends up when we're following the path of God. We don't get to choose the color of our eyes or even the family we're born into, but the one thing we can choose is our friends. There are few things we're in control over, and our human relationships are certainly one of those things. Thus, we should choose our circle of friends with wisdom and discretion.

Good friends can stretch us beyond our limitations and help us to grow. Wrong friends will have the opposite effect. When you are surrounded by bad company, it will corrupt you and lead you astray if you don't disconnect yourself quickly.

Be careful who you choose as friends and who you allow into your private space. Stay prayerful, and with God's leading, you and your friends will stay focused on God's promises together.

WORD FOR TODAY:
TROUBLES DON'T LAST ALWAYS --- BELIEVE WHAT GOD IS SAYING, NOT WHAT YOU’RE SEEING
GOD HAS GIVEN US MANY AMAZING PROMISES in His Word, and though we are assured of His steadfast love (Rom. 8:38-39), provision (2 Corinthians 9:8), and guidance (Prov. 16:9), He has not promised us an easy, trouble-free life. What we can count on, however, is that the Lord will work everything—including adversity—for our good (Rom. 8:28). When our hearts and minds are agitated because of turbulent events, it’s hard not to stare at circumstances in horror or confusion. But we must decide to believe what the Bible says about God’s character, activity, and purposes. That choice forces our attention off the storm and onto the One responsible for ushering us safely through.
OUR responsibility is to keep our eyes on Him and trust His Holy Spirit to provide strength, wisdom, and courage. Turning to the Lord will not necessarily bring an end to the hardship, but He will help us see that we are exactly where He wants us. He has a reason for the discomfort and desires that we grow in Christ through it.

Value of Kindness

A kindhearted woman gains honor, but ruthless men only gain wealth. -Proverbs 11:16 (NIV)

Kill them with kindness! A phrase I have heard all too often but, is this something we usually put into practice? Kindness is not just another attribute but rather a trait that is valued day by day. But, beyond loving it, you should also implement it.

How often is your kindness spoken of? Being kind shows how much value you have in your love for God. When your love for God is true, you'll treat people with respect and kindness? Why? Because to love God is also to love His people. Kindness is a responsibility we must not forsake. It's a vital tool for operating in the ways of God.

Be kind to others just as you expect others to be kind to you. When you practice kindness diligently, watch how much value and honor is added to your life.

Prayer:

Father, I thank you for gracing me with the gift of kindness. A kindness that we cannot buy, and compassion that only you can give. Please show me how to express my heart to others so much so that it becomes contagious. Father, I thank you for your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.🌻❤️

In everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

When you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. § The Spirit … helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. § Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

Obey

Take heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command Your children to obey carefully all the words of this law.- Deuteronomy 32:46(NIV)

Plenty of times, we instruct those in our lives: our children, significant others, team, family members, etc. Once we lay out the rules, we expect them to be followed thoroughly. Yet, there is just one problem: all too often, we are not willing to follow the rules we've set in place.

We have this "do as I say, not as I do" mindset. Well, I'm a firm believer that we really can't teach others to obey if we're not willing to obey God. There has to be a demonstration and example given to the people that we lead. How can we demand from others what our own life lacks? Where's the logic there?

Allow your life and the way you live for God to speak louder than any law or command and watch the response.

Prayer:

Father, I love you. I pray that my obedience would speak volumes in my life that is greater than any sacrifice we could ever make. May the obedience that you placed in me never fade away. In Jesus' name, Amen.❤️🌻
