To my friends who went full gas on supporting me despite not knowing a single thing about pageantry, know that you all were one of the things I missed the most from the Philippines. You bought votes and shared my posts despite not knowing what a pasarela was 🤣 Can’t wait to hug you all!

And last but not the least, to all the supportive pageant bloggers, especially _ , I can’t thank you enough for never forgetting to treat me like a human and not just a beauty queen. In times where I was scared to see social media, I’d find comfort in the seeing your uplifting messages, advice, and your very vocal support. Most of you saw my potential in Miss World Philippines and I hope I made every single one of you proud.

Thank you also for our talk after Miss Supranational. You knew I was emotional but you reminded me that I am beautiful, worthy, and that this is just the beginning.

To , I’m posting this because I can’t find our photos together! I am so proud of you. I’ll never forget our chat before the pageant. I learned from you that being a queen isn’t about being a people pleaser and smiling 24/7, it meant being comfortable with yourself and with your being and knowing that only the people who matter will choose to see the best in you.

To my agents of chaos and .sleigh, thank you giving me the experience of a lifetime. It was fun stuffing our faces at breakfast buffets all while talking about what it took to get it to Miss Supranational. Special shoutout to my Ate .lau for being so biased towards me. I couldn’t have picked a roommate that better suited me 👯‍♀️

To the lovely people at , , thank you for making me feel like I was part of the MWPH family even before coronation night. Knowing there are people like you willing to support a queen you’ve known only for so long is heartwarming. You’re the reason why I say the pageant world isn’t toxic if you’re with the right people 🥹

To , you truly are my fairy godmother even back at Miss World Philippines. When I was scrambling for a gown, you came to my life offering me so much wisdom, help, and of course, fashooown. Thank you for guiding me even when I was practically nobody when I entered your studio. I owe so much to you and your team, thank you thank you!

To the designers that helped me, .ph , I wish you all would see how many times I was stopped by contestants/staff/audience to ask where my gown was from. You all never failed to dress me like a showstopper. Having been dressed so stunningly gave me the boost of confidence I needed every single challenge.

, thank you for all those early mornings/late nights of making sure I was Supra ready in a span of weeks. I was ready to take on the world because you all told me I could.

Part 1 ✍🏼

Looking back at the amount of support and grit it took to make it to this stage makes me feel emotional to say the least. My pageant journey was shorter than most—being in 2 pageants that were a month apart. It was both thrilling and overwhelming even for a girl who loves a challenge. But in a sea of doubt, I learned that no amount of external validation can replace a healthy self image. And I’d like to thank these people for giving me the muscles to love myself unconditionally:

Thanks to my family for being supportive of me entering a world they knew nothing about. They never questioned the amount of shoes I needed or the fact that I had training dedicated to “just” walking in heels 🤣 Huge thanks to Sir and Tito for being my gateway into pageantry. You both saw a queen in me before I did.

To the queen makers , I’m beyond grateful for the safe space I found in all of you.

Thank you Mama and Tay .stylestudio always being by my side even from across the world. You both were focused on being my rock, being a solution to my problems, and being voices of positivity.

Thank you and for trusting in my ability. You both taught me that intellect is nothing without purpose. Here’s to always going back to your core.

Thank you and (and also ) not just for the classes but for always giving me the pep talk I need before the pageant. You all were a source of humor and wisdom for me.

The stage at preliminaries made me feel so alive last night! Can we appreciate the stage? The stunning women? The production? made sure we all had our moment to shine and last night I felt like a firework 🎆

On a more serious note, being in Poland definitely makes the cries of the people in Ukraine louder and much closer. Being from the Philippines, it’s easy to forget about the lives lost, the voices unheard, and the families afflicted. We may not have a lot of control over international conflict, but we do have a choice to make a stand.
