Friday has now turned into Saturday...and I'm still working! Tiki mugs don't make themselves. It's a team effort...me, myself and I 🙈🙉🙊. is fast approaching!

Sometimes you have to destroy to create... It's always a bit sad when I melt down a sculpture to make a new one. I can't stop thinking about all of the time and effort that is slowly melting away... It's part of the process 😫 The clay will be transformed into something new and exciting! ... Hopefully to make it's debut at TIKI OASIS in July 🙏 I will be vending with in San Diego so stop in and see what will rise from ashes😳

I can't believe one week has already passed! I am horrible about taking photos!! So I had to steal some of these from friends. A huge heartfelt MAHALO to everyone who stopped in to say hello and purchase my work! Arizona Tiki Oasis was such an incredible and desperately needed event! I personally want to thank and for having the courage to move forward with this event. These plans had to be put in place long before last weekend! We all needed to see old friends and welcome new acquaintances! My tiki family is so important to me.. and although many of you are not represented in this small group of photos you are loved. 88 days till TIKI OASIS SAN DIEGO 🤪 ... Time to get back to work!

WoW! What an incredible weekend! Thank you so much to everyone who was able to attend, stop by and say ALoHA! did not disappoint!!! As you can see I was exhausted.. but energized by all the good vibes! It was so great to see old friends who I have missed dearly.. and make those wonderful new acquaintances in person. Thank you all so very much! For those of you who commented or messaged over the weekend I will be getting back to you in the next day or so I actually slept for about 13 hours last night 😄 but that's what happens when you deprive yourself of sleep for as long as I did.
Essentially the Oasis hangover has taken me over this morning.. thinking back about things I meant to do and didn't get the chance, conversations that were meant to be had. People I wanted to say hi to...and missed opportunities. To that all I can say is I'm looking forward to Tiki Oasis San Diego in July!
Last but not least I want to thank and for putting this event together at . We all needed this! Artists, vendors and attendees!

Congratulations to on 10 years! This wonderful company took a chance on me some years ago... And I am eternally grateful! I was given the opportunity to sculpt two bottle designs.. and then also revamp those designs for the 100% eco-friendly glass versions that are available today! We are celebrating at this weekend with 10-year Deadhead rum! I can't believe it but they were so gracious that they actually made me a partner in their company! Tonight! 4-22-21stop by the Bamboozle from 7:30-10:30 pm and celebrate with me and the fantastic OHANA of DEADHEAD RUM! will be mixing up delicious cocktails along with tastings...Gid-E-Up Arizona!

Praying to the kiln gods! I started this last batch at 7:30 this morning. The kiln has to cool down to 200° before I can peek inside and see how everything turned out 🤞(3:30 a.m.)... The ones that turn out will be for sale in the Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. I will be sharing a space with none other than Maui's own with next door neighbors

On a side note it was fantastic to see everyone tonight at ! I have missed you all soo much! 🤙 It was hard to leave but I had to come home and wrap up a few loose ends Tonight.

Here's a look at some of the finished glaze on my Tapa cloth inspired mug.. yes there's a little nod to breeze block in there as well 😉. I will have a few of these at Arizona Tiki Oasis where I will be vending with the one and only ! ALoHA! Here is my submission for the Tiki Oasis Art show . The theme is "Soundtrack to Tiki Oasis". When I think about music at Tiki Oasis events my mind automatically goes to the DJs... More often than not they are spinning 45s. I have fond memories of playing these records as a kid on my portable record player... But the 45s needed a plastic adapter, without it you couldn't play the record! The adapter is quirky and cool in its own way, and the shape is unmistakable (If you're old enough to know what I'm talking about 😂).

"45 RPMakau" is a combination of this adapter blended with a Hawaiian fish hook design "Makau". I hope you enjoy it. I'm really looking forward to Arizona Tiki Oasis. I hope to see you there.

** Ready to join us at Arizona Tiki Oasis? A few things you should know....**

THE RESORT is READY, they have been following strict safety protocols.

NATURE OF EVENT, AZTO was created in 2019 to be centered around smaller more intimate interactions. There is no 'main stage' or big concert. Kinda works out perfectly for our switch to a totally socially distanced event!

LAYOUT of THE RESORT, The Hotel is large and spread out with multiple locations for smaller events in very large outdoor spaces. The majority of all events will take place outdoors!

MASK & SOCIAL DISTANCING required. Even if you are vaccinated you will be required to wear a mask as per gov't guidelines. Security will be enforcing this.

CAPACITIES HAVE BEEN REDUCED for each area of the resort. Capacities will be posted and enforced in areas such as the pools and the Skyline rooftop.

EXAMPLE of EXTRA PRECAUTIONS, Our indoor seminar space is very large and will be at 25% capacity. It features an open air format with one full wall opening up to an outdoor area. Throughout the resort all indoor areas have installed MERV-13 air filters.

ALoHA and happy ! Happy to announce I will be closing out the pop-ups this Saturday! I'm really looking forward to seeing old friends and making new acquaintances. I'll be set up at the entrance with my Tiki mugs and some necklaces and other goodies.
There's been a series of pop-ups put on by Undertow to help keep their staff employed while they are building out the new location. These events have been hosted by the wonderful (Scottsdale Az) in the "Sands Room". All seatings are socially distanced and taking into account all the protocols needed to keep you safe!
