Dylan and I have just about got this one dried in. It's his first ever full build from the ground up, and he's done great.

We just finished a 30x26 storage building in Paris for a customer who needed to get his boat out of the rain. It certainly photographs well!!

This house was in desperate need of attention. My part of the work is wrapped up for now. I re-framed for new windows, siding, insulation, exterior sheathing, new beams under the house, some new drywall, new sill plates and rim joist,ECT, ECT!! Can't wait to see it with a fresh coat of paint and some new gutters!!

These old beat up houses can be a lot of work, but I really enjoy giving them new life!! Especially when the customers are as easy to work with as these guys were.

Every now and then, it's nice to take a break from the day to day work, and just create something fun.

This was a house I built when I worked for another company. It's got the biggest roof I've ever personally built by far. I was extremely lucky to have a great couple guys working with me at the time, so I could focus on the math. Every rafter in this house landed exactly as planned, first try.

Here's a couple pictures of a small bathroom re-fresh I just finished. Floor, trim, vanity top, faucet, and fixture. Once the customer repaints, she will have a very simple, but significant, upgrade.

Here's a bunch of jobs I did years ago for a few different customers. A couple full bathroom remodels, a porch with roof, and a greenhouse. These were when I had just started doing jobs on my own on weekends, long long ago.

This was originally a porch. Changed the door to a window with a dog door below it. Relocated the inside door to a different wall. Then designed and built a mudroom from scratch.

When I rebuilt my last house, I had the opportunity to add a bunch of really useful features. Im really proud of this one. It kept the refrigerator 6 inches away from the wall, allowing the door to open further. And who doesn't want a giant hidden spice/canned goods rack? It opens and closes like butter too!!

This customer, sadly, had a previous contractor disappear before finishing the job. Too common in my business.
He hired me to straighten out some subpar work, stain the exterior, lay flooring, insulate, and finish the interior walls and ceiling with car siding. It turned out beautiful.

My wife, daughter, 3 dogs and 2 cats moved here August 2022. This was the house we left behind in Illinois. We gutted it to the studs, moved some walls, moved all the windows and doors, and rebuilt/ replaced everything except the foundation. Then added a second floor. We put a lot of planning and labor into this house, and we're always gonna miss it.
