Great dental office, very caring and friendly! I have been coming here I believe since 1985. I have always had a smiling face greeting me when I walked through the door. Always very pleasant during the visit, the cleanings and the routine check-up. I recently had a tooth that had broke, they got me in right away (even with the Holiday approaching) and took care of fixing it (pain free). I was able to eat Thanksgiving dinner with no problems. I highly recommend Dr Fitzsimmons and his staff for your dental needs.

Son and Daughter Day is a day to spend with your children. After all, your son and daughter are the joy of your life. We hope that everyone reading this has the opportunity in their life to see these joys born and raised happily, and successfully.

Today is a great day to spend with your son and daughter. It's not a day of gift giving....except for the gift of time. If your son and daughter are still young and live at home with you, be ever aware that time goes by quickly. So, spend as much of today and everyday in their company.

The first Friday in August is National Water Balloon Day. Some may claim it is harmless fun and an easy way to cool off in the blistering summer heat. However, I am deadly afraid of today, especially when these weapons are in the hands of tiny terrorists.
I do believe I will stay indoors today and stay dry. You never know when – oh, no, look out!!

Diet? Not on August 6th! It’s National Root Beer Float Day 😊 after all — a time to enjoy one of the best beverage/dessert combos on the planet. 🌎

On this day, some even compete for root beer float greatness.

It all started in Colorado back in 1893. Frank J. Wisner was inspired. Surrounded by Cow Mountain where his Cripple Creek Brewing Company was located, Wisner came up with a novel idea. While mountain gazing, he didn’t see snow-covered peaks. Instead, Wisner envisioned scoops of ice cream floating in root beer. Crazy, right? So, today, enjoy the tallest, fizziest root beer float you can find!

Work Like a Dog Day honors and recognizes the hardest working among us.

We would like to thank all the people who are still working like a dog. While work is to be done, they dig in relentlessly. They seldom take a break until the task is completed.

National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day is today. It is real easy to celebrate this day!

Did You Know? Americans eat on average 18,928 cookies (all kinds) in their lifetimes.

The chocolate chip cookie was invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield from Massachusetts, in 1938. Her husband ran the Tool House Inn, resulting in her cookies being call "Toll House "cookies. Nestlé's bought the rights to the name, and the rest is history!

This big fruit deserves it's own big day. So, we give pause to celebrate watermelons on National Watermelon Day. Sweet and tasty, watermelons, are one of summer's favorite fruit. It's standard fare at picnics. While watermelon is over 90% water, it sure tastes good. And, what picnic would be complete without a seed spitting contest?

Did you know? Growing Watermelons is serious business. Watermelon competitions or "weigh-offs" are a common event at fall festivals. Many pumpkin weigh-offs include a giant watermelon category, complete with prizes for the largest melon. Just how big can a watermelon grow? Giant Watermelons can grow over 200 pounds!

HOORAY, it is the International Day of Friendship!!

International Day of Friendship is day set aside to promote friendship among peoples, cultures and countries. Today is a time to encourage efforts towards peace, and to build bridges among different people. It is a day of respect for others, and a day to celebrate diversity.

Use this day to promote friendship in big and small ways. You can begin by "extending an olive branch" to a sibling or a family member, a neighbor, or an old friend who we've had a falling out with. If we all try just a little the world will be a friendlier, more peaceful place.

Buffalo, NY is the home to the Buffalo Chicken Wing. They were invented at the Anchor Bar and Grill in Buffalo, NY in 1964 by Teressa Bellisimo. She served her creation as a late night snack for her son Dominic and his college friends. It immediately became wildly popular there. The recipe spread, and it rapidly became wildly popular in the United States, and ultimately world-wide.
