Following months of stalking and threatening to kill Ciara after she ended their relationship, Gordon Molloy from Ballickmoyler in Laois broke into her home and lay in wait for her with a machete. He stabbed her 27 times. Ciara's parents Micháel and Paidi have met with the Parole Board to object to the murderer's 3rd application for release. They firmly believe he will kill again if he's allowed out.

Her attacker was caught and jailed for nine years but Ailbhe's trauma continued for years. She found out about the restorative justice process herself and sought a meeting with the perpetrator. A film ‘The Meeting’ was later made in which she starred as herself. In this clip she bravely recounts the horror of what happened to her.

Cut to the Crime on Sky features Wesley Cunliffe - On Episode 11 of Real Lives Untold Podcast - You can hear more of Welsh rugby star Life in his own words. He spoke to .m.oconnor and explaining that the sport saved him from a life of crime. At a very young age, as the eldest of his siblings, driven by poverty, circumstance and tragedy, he ended up working for drug gangs to support his family. As a teenager he underwent life saving surgery after he was stabbed following a drug deal. This was the turning point for him, he found rugby, developed a passion for it and with the support of family and the police he went on to play semi professional rugby and is coaching people from disadvantaged backgrounds at the school of hard knocks.....
