Throwback to happier times before part of the motor decided to yeet out the back of the block. Hopefully have better luck at the Hillclimb weekend in the Subaru!

Good but frustrating day at Hawkswood today. Big thanks to the fence that kept me from going down the side of the hill ๐๐ป๐
Perfect weather yesterday for some racing at Hawkeswood! Bit too hot if you ask me ๐ฅต๐ฅต I went 2 seconds faster than I ever have up there with a PB of 1:12.10 which put me in 16th overall out of 37. Launch control and anti lag definitely pays off, super salty though because I was in 13th at one point ๐ the Evo does itโs best after all, being standard engine wise still, bless ๐
๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ Ps why do all videos look so nana spec? I promise I wasnโt actually that slow ๐

How good were the Greymouth Street Sprints yesterday! Had a go at entering the Subaru this time - 28th overall out of a huge 50 entries and 2nd lady home. What surprised me the most was after racing the Evo at Cloudy Bay last weekend Iโm pretty sure the Subaru is still quicker ffs ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ it feels like it anyway. Definitely time to think about making the Evo go faster. What should I do first? ๐
Thanx to Westland Car Club for a mint event. Canโt wait for next year ๐๐ค๐ป
Street sprint yesterday at the Cloudy Bay Industrial Estate in Blenheim ๐ super tricky in parts - almost binned it on the practice run haha but what a wee gem of a road! The Evo is like a new car with its brand new MCA suspension too ๐ still getting used to itโs new limit ya know but bloody good when ya can drive your car up, race it, then drive all the way back to Christchurch no worries! Who said Evoโs werenโt reliable.. (me once ๐). Thanx to the Marlborough Car club for a great event ๐๐ป
My poor Evo! It definitely doesnโt suit off road even on โsnowโ setting cuz I for sure needed that. Iโve spent $15 waterblasting it and itโs filthy asf still ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ Tarmac only car from now on ๐

Dad and I headed over to Grey today to compete in the Marsden Road Sealed Sprint! I had to withdraw my entry and was in the co-drivers seat as Iโve got a wrist injury and hav a decent splint to wear ๐ญ
Awesome road which was 5.5km long, nice and wide, very fast with lots of sweeping corners. Super gutted I couldnโt drive it but thereโs always next time! Subi performed well as per usual ๐๐ป Thanks to the Westland Car Club for putting on a good event!
Our next event we will try get to is the Little River Hill Climb on the 9th of Feb and if finances permit Denniston ๐ which is the following weekend I think.

Double duty today at the Little River Hillclimb ๐ first outing for the Subaru running E85 and the Evoโs first outing with a new heavy duty clutch and flywheel since I finished those off at the last track day haha. Interesting to see comparisons between both cars, very different to drive - the Evo is a faster car but handles pretty average due to standard suspension whereas the Subaru is slower but handles pretty good so I ended up being faster overall for the day (14th out of 23 entries) in the Subaru by 3 seconds with a time of 2:18.16 ๐ค๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
Road conditions were a bit average with logging trucks having cut up the road a bit but at least it turned into a really nice day after a very cold start! I always love racing at the Little River hillclimb, itโs one of my faves and itโs always an awesome days racing - & itโs always a plus when ya do your fastest time up the hill ever ๐คญ
1-0 to the Subaru but the Evo has another chance at Hawkswood next month ๐๐ป

Itโs been a while since iv hit the race track, but to get my Motorsport fix we went to the Formula 1 2018 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix! Pretty awesome experience. Now if I stop blowing the race fund on holidays I can get my Evo sorted and enter some events later this year ๐คญ

Had a cheeky wee drive in a Modified Sprint at Ruapuna tonight! Itโs been like 2 years since Iโve driven a speedway car but I surprised even myself with how well I remembered how to drive one ๐คญ I went off the rear of the field for the night so no stress. Had to get my munted wrist strapped up after just the warm up because it couldnโt handle it and also my arms were dead after each race lmao thatโs what I get for never going to the gym ๐ The car had some slight battery issues so no power & the track was super rough in places but apart from that it was super fun to drive! Just managed to get the feature in before it started raining.
Huge thanks to Clayton Phillips for trusting me with one of his cars ๐
& to the rest of the CJ Phillips racing team for crewing for me ๐ค๐ป

Interesting.. ๐ค๐คญ๐
DNF at the Port Hills tarmac rally today. Dad was driving in SS3, ran out of talent and had a spin on the exit of a blind corner and got collected by the following car because it took that long to turn around. As per photo - panel damage, bent bottom strut & also sore neck for the co-driver. Easily fixed though.
He has officially been banned from the drivers seat and I will be doing the whole rally next year since I never got a drive today ๐
Satisfactory day today at Ruapuna. 21st place out of 39 entries. Still searching for speed so looks like modifications are needed to get further up the field. Super proud of it being so reliable though! & it was such a nice day too. Time for a Fruju and a nana nap now ๐๐
(Ended up entering this event instead of Denniston yesterday because Iโm a wuss and didnโt want to drive to Westport and race with that forecast)
Next event is the Port Hills All Tarmac Rally next weekend on the 24th Feb in the subi ๐๐ป
2014, 2015, 2016 and now 2017 Ladies Speed Champion ๐คฉ๐ค๐ป
Finally got my harness belts fitted in the Evo! Ready for Denniston next weekend ๐๐ค๐ป
