I'm so excited for the many new things that are coming soon with this business... I'm so grateful that I've been given the opportunity to expand as much as I have, and I just can't contain my excitement with the further expansion that'll be coming soon๐ค
This family is absolutely beautiful... I typically don't like to pose family sessions. Simply because children do not like to sit still for very long! Don't let this picture fool you- these kiddos wanted to MOVE!
But we managed to get a couple with all of them looking, and really just let their family play it out. Sharing in little laughs together, wanting to go play in the water, whatever it may be... these moments that seem like little to some, but are so important to mamas.
These are the moments that are going to last a lifetime. Those are the things you're going to want to remember over the stand and smile moments. Let's create memories. Let's run around and "play" in front of the camera, and I'll help you cherish every moment ๐ค
The beginning of those postpartum hours โจ๏ธ
Picturing that sweet girl in your arms as you breathe in the crisp summer morningโจ๏ธ
This sweet boy was as sweet as could be during this mommy + me session I captured today! He sat contentedly in his mamas lap, and against her chest as his brother sat to the side and enjoyed finding different rocks to lick๐
Just look at those precious eyes and those CHEEKS๐
sweet girl with some chunky cheeks ๐
I feel like I haven't done one of these in a while... but I've added an extra spot each month to take on an additional mama in need of support or to capture these beautiful memories so I figured I'd better!
My goal is to be by your side through pregnancy and beyond- ensuring you feel heard, supported, and that each of these special memories are captured in the way that YOU want.
Each package includes - all images, edited, on call time from 37 weeks, 2 hours postpartum coverage
with doula - 2-3 prenatals, 2 postpartum visits, 24/7 support, and a special gift from meโจ๏ธ
If you've thought about it, but not sure what all it entails - let's talk a few minutes to talk๐ค
Or if you're ready- feel free to inquire! Let's talk about the best ways I can support you๐ค
Baby is lifted through the surface of the water and is nearly to mamas arms๐ค
I get super emotional sometimes when I go through almost an entire pregnancy with families. This one though... this one hit much harder. She booked with me at nearly the beginning of her pregnancy, and we immediately hit it off. I knew right away we were gonna get along so great.
We scheduled her maternity photos, after all my children went through a whirlwind of different illnesses, we finally made it happen. It was so great being about to go out to her home where she would soon be delivering just in case something were to happen in the middle of the night (which it did, so I'm thankful that I at least knew what to expect lol!) Meeting her little family was absolutely amazing, her kids are wild and so sweet. And they're homeschooled - we definitely could be best friends at this point lol!
Then over a month later- at almost 42 weeks pregnant- she calls me in the middle of the night and I make my way over to her as fast as I can and I sit with her and her beautiful family - mom, dad, sisters, the entire gang- for roughly 10 hours. We all talked, we laughed, and most importantly, we held this mamas space. Being able to capture this birth.. something woke up inside of me. A part of me that I didn't know existed and made my passion for birth ignite to such higher levels.
When certain people come into your life, there's a connection that can sometimes go unnoticed. And I've had several where I knew it was going to last, but this one- this family- the connection I have with this family is so incredible and something that I will always cherish ๐ค
Such a wonderful time being able to meet with other doulas ๐ค

What a moment!! Wow! This is so incredible to see๐๐
Little miss decided she didn't want to wait for May and she definitely didn't want to wait for ANYONE else to be there to make her arrival! Coming at 37 weeks - she rushed into this world weighing a total of 6lbs 9oz. & she is absolutely perfect! ๐
It's so easy to push these moments to the side and say "ah, I'll do it later!" Why? Why not now?
Why not take every moment you can with these little ones and capture every detail?! These moments happen in a blink of an eye and suddenly... They're grown.
Capture the moments. As much and as often as you possibly can! It's so worth it โค๏ธ
Taking in the sight of this beautiful mama this past weekend. I just can't get over how STUNNING she looks. Can't wait to capture her beautiful home birth in just a few weeks... my oh my how time flies โจ๏ธ
The unwavering love and support. Those are the moments that you will want to remember for a lifetime. Those are the moments that mean the most. Unfortunately those are the moments that most mamas don't remember as well during those moments of pain and focusing on working through those contractions.
It's the quiet love that I enjoy capturing the most. The type of comfort and love that you feel rather than hear. It's the "I love you" in the touches. "I'm here" as they lean their head against yours. "Give me your pain" as they gently stroke your hair, or back as you rock through each wave.
These are the moments that are invaluable.
The peace and calm you feel when you're finally able to rest with your little one in your arms ๐ค
back rolls & baby diapers. ๐ค
Look at this amazing space in Columbia?! She did such an amazing job here! This is going to be such a great option ๐ค

Monday night, around 10, I get a call from my 2nd birth client for this month - My water has been leaking all day- they're inducing me tonight!
I was already on call for this mama, so I had nearly everything gathered up and ready. I went to bed, expecting not to get too much sleep that night.
3:30AM- I get a text from her mom - contractions are 2 minutes apart and she's struggling.
I dart out of bed, get my kids up and get them to the sitter, and I get to the hospital quickly. They turned down her pit, and she was able to rest. Luckily I'm only 9 minutes from home, so I go back, eat some food, get my husband's lunch ready, and wait.
6:30- she's walking around and they're ready for me to come.
Nearly her whole family was surrounding her when I got there. Family members trickled in and out most of the morning until her contractions began to intensify and she just couldn't focus. Noise is such a huge factor in our labors, and we don't even realize it. When volume is high, it begins to get harder to focus on taking control of our contractions rather than allowing them to control us. After some guidance, she did such a wonderful job rocking through them.
12:34PM- Jasper Desmond is born- 7lbs 6oz and so precious!
Mama did such an amazing job going through her labor without an epidural. It's such a privilege to be able to sit alongside moms and watch as they get the birth they desire and capture every moment of them.
If you would have told me a year ago that this is what I'd be doing, I'd call you insane! Now I can't imagine doing anything else ๐
This little girl has some of the chunkiest cheeks I ever did see ๐
I honestly could not get enough of her. Or any baby for that matter. I mean, look at those rolls!
I told myself that I wasn't going to share anymore of this gallery until I sent it to mama. -I'm nearly halfway finished already & I'm stoked! - but... I came across this image and I couldn't stop staring at it. There's something about this image that is so beautiful to me.
Is it the midwife and how quiet she is as she watches mom from a distance? Is it how dark and quiet the space is around mom as she roars her baby into the world? Or is it the way that her husband is holding her as she leans into him for strength through that love hormone?
Maybe it's a combination of all of them. This image has got to be one of my favorites out of all the births that I've had the privilege to attend. There's something so beautiful here and I don't think I will ever get over moments like these.
It's Friday! I have a weekend full of maternity sessions, Church on Sunday, and going on call for my 2nd December clientโจ๏ธ
I'm looking forward to sitting down through the evening to get videos sent and this beautiful mamas birth gallery sent to her!
What's everyone got going on this weekend?! Whatever it is - I hope it's AMAZING.
My first December client text me early this morning and told me her water broke!
Now is the time to wait and see... no contractions yet!
Did your water break before or during labor? Did your doctor break it, or did it come all on its own?
For me, my water was broke by each of my doctors for my girls, and for my oldest it happened right before the doctor came in to break it!
When capturing any family or in home newborn sessions, my absolute favorite moments to capture are the unscripted moments.
The moments when you and your family are in your zone, not forcing a smile in front of the camera, but laughing and smiling within your own bubble โจ๏ธ
These are the moments we as mothers cherish the most.

Toesies Tuesday โจ๏ธ
There's just something about those baby toes that just make me melt!
If there's not a legit medical reason.. inductions are not necessary.
Elective induction around a holiday is for convenience, but not yours.
With Thanksgiving & Christmas coming up, loads of unnecessary inductions and c-sections are about to happen.
Every year there is a HUGE decrease in births on (and around)...
๐ Christmas
๐ New Yearโs Eve/Day
๐ Easter (changes yearly - first Sunday after the full moon in April)
๐ Memorial Day (changes yearly - last Monday in May in the US)
๐ Independence Day (4th of July in the US)
๐ Thanksgiving (changes yearly - last Thursday in November)
And itโs not just the United States - it's everywhere.
How could it be that all of these holidays have lower birth rates year after year?
Itโs not a coincidence - itโs about convenience.
And not YOUR convenience. The convenience of providers.
No one wants to work on holidays, and hospital birth providers have a way to make sure (for the most part) that they donโt have to.
Inductions & c-sections are rarely scheduled ON holidays, but they ARE frequently scheduled in the days leading up to, or just after, a holiday.
If you are due around a holiday, and your provider suggests an induction or c-section, itโs a good idea to question why (remember that you always have the right to decline). If there is NOT a legitimate medical reason, they may be more concerned with being home in time for a holiday dinner than your well being.
