I know your mind probably went there after my post the other day about how the businesses doing the damn thing well have support.
Like, “of-fu**ing-course I need support, Makeda. I have 67 tabs open and can’t even locate which one is playing music.”
Two things:
First - chill with the attitude. My kids bring enough of it to balance out you, me, and the worst characters from any reality show (looking at you, Jackie)
Second - I want to make sure you’re not thinking of support like I used to for the first two years of my business.
If you were anything like me, you thought for small or micro businesses online, the extent of “support” meant a 🦄 VA.
As a former Virtual Assistant, let it be known that I’m not throwing any shade. There’s absolutely a place in business for those who excel at being a Jack or Jane of all trades who execute your detailed plan.
But after seeing the bts of some stable af businesses, if the strategy is off, executing a flawed plan just replicates the problem.
Now when I say you need support, I’m talking about big-picture, longevity-minded support. Copywriters, CFOs, COOs, and the like who are by your side to think past this month’s to-do list and focus on your business’s wellness and future.
So when you’re feeling choked by the responsibility to “show up,” and no amount of IG followers will make waking up at the crack of dawn to get your Don Draper on worth it…
Call for proper reinforcements.
Comment what the one task taking up way too much brain space every month is to give you an idea of where to look for help first.
Maybe this is or isn’t the bombshell you were looking for.
But if you were anything like I was in the early days of my business, you’ve probably assumed that there are certain services that aren’t for “small” businesses.

Well, hello 2022 🎉
There’s a lot of memes going around saying 2021 was a rough one but for me, 2021 was growth.
I became intimately more AWARE of the power I had and although at times (and even now) it became overwhelming, I’m excited that 2022 will see me learning how to better wield it to call in the results I want to see.

Is preview text important when it comes to email marketing?
Absolutely! Previews are EVERYTHANG 😎
I mean think about it...are previews at the movie theater worth coming early? (if you say no, unfriend me)
Don't previews of a product make you more enticed to buy it?
Personally, by seeing previews of my husband's baby pics, I got a sneak peek into what my babies would be like and I took that s**t to the bannnk!
Jk...not jk?
But for real! Your preview text is how you up the ante of your subject lines and ultimately increase your open rate.
If your subject line intrigues them, the preview text should pull them all the way in.
And let's say you're having an off day! Maybe your subject line didn't intrigue them but that preview text hooked them...that counts too.
When used effectively, preview text can really play a key part in getting the eyes of your content on your audience!
