Hello Summer!!!

We hope your having an amazing start to your summer. As we gear up for some summer activities please make sure you get the Livestock 2024-2025 Validation dates down. Attached is all the validation dates for the year. As always if you have any questions please reach out to Mr. Pruitt or an FFA Officer.

We will also have two Hill County Fair Workdays this summer. If you show a project at the Hill County Fair, you need to attend at least one of these dates if at all possible. June 22nd and July 20th. We will be getting the facility cleaned up and fixing things in order to have an amazing 2025 Hill County Fair. Please shoot Mr. Pruitt an email if you can attend one of the days. They will be serving lunch both days so an RSVP is needed please.

We would love to showcase all our winnings and awards at our FFA Banquet. Please bring any award, banner, buckle, sign, ect… you would like to showcase at our FFA Picture Booth. See you guys tomorrow at 6:30pm. Come Hungry!!

To make sure we have all FFA members in attendance we have had to move our Ag Banquet to Wednesday May 8th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but it allows any FFA member to attend if they choose to. Please help us post and share so all our families and friends know of the changed date.

Off. No awards today, but we met our goal of finishing the build and look forward to doing more next year.

We are excited to announce that Granger Smith will be joining us as the keynote speaker during the Texas FFA Convention this summer!

What an amazing last stretch of stock shows Abbott FFA exhibitors have had. Abbott FFA finished off show season with a bang at Houston and Austin. Five different exhibitors are adding to there college find by making the premium sale, and a few others were just a spot or two away. Again, thanks to everyone involved or associated with Abbott FFA!! We could not be gone or do what we do without every single one of you guys and it’s greatly appreciated. Now to preparing for next year and on to some judging contest!!

6AM wake up calls are only for dedicated people. Abbott FFA has some dedicated exhibitors and parents let me tell you.

What a great time we had in San Antonio these past few weeks. Some highs, some lows but great times with great people. Thanks for all the help at the shows and back home. If we missed a pic and you got one please put it in the comments. Just a few high lights below!!!

Exhibitor Thank You Card information is going home today with each exhibitor. Please get Thank You letters wrote for each buyer that you have. Once they are written, address them with a stamp ready to be mailed and turn them all into Mr. Pruitt so he can mark you off of his list. They must be sent to Mr. Pruitt. Please do not mail them yourself. If Mr. Pruitt is out at a stock show please give them to the front office and he will get them when he returns. This needs done by March 1st

What an amazing two weeks we have had stock showing. The Ft Worth Stock Show did not disappoint with 2 huge “F” Brands and we finished up at San Angelo this weekend with a Jr. FFA member making the sale of Champions. A few days off this week and then we head back out to San Antonio. If we missed a picture of your exhibitor please add them in the comments. It’s hard to catch them all and we have tons of students that did great.
Thanks to everyone involved with Abbott FFA and to everyone back home taking care of the stock while our exhibitors are gone. We had tons of students place but three big wins can’t go unnoticed.

Hill County Fair has arrived

Below is a schedule of events for the fair. Many have reached out but if you have any questions please let Mr. Pruitt know ASAP and he will get with you as quickly as he can. Keep working hard with those animals and let’s make this last week a good one. Pen assignments will be sent out soon.

FFA Movie night!! Come hang out and let’s celebrate Christmas together before break. Parents, drop your kids off and and enjoy a few hours of quiet time before the break actually begins. See you Wednesday!!!!

What a trip to Indianapolis Indiana to watch past Abbott FFA President Jocelyn Kolar walk the stage as a National Qualifier for her Sheep Production Proficiency. It’s been an honor to work with Jocelyn and too see her success. Way to represent Abbott FFA!!!!
