🚀 We had a fantastic Partner's Meeting on July 11th, 2024, diving deep into the MYSTIC Project's Co-Labs initiative! 🌍🤝

These Co-Labs are the final step in our immersive learning journey, bridging online courses and practical community engagement. Spread across five European locations, Co-Labs empower Community Mediators and Leaders to apply their skills in real-world action research, creating sustainable and inclusive community solutions. With goals to launch at least 25 community projects and implement 10 by the project's end, we're excited for the impactful changes ahead!

🚀 🌟 Highlight from the MYSTIC Project 🌟

This May, participants from Cyprus embarked on an unforgettable journey to Miranda do Corvo, Portugal, for a transformative week-long experience under the MYSTIC Project, funded by the European Union. The Cyprus team, consisting of dynamic young people and dedicated youth workers, participated in the Immersive Residential Programme (IRP), aimed at enhancing skills through hands-on learning and community-based research.

📍 Location: Hotel Parque Serra da Lousã, nestled in the serene surroundings of the Biological Park of Serra da Lousã, in Miranda do Corvo Portugal.



📅 Dates: May 12th - May 18th

Throughout the week, our participants engaged in activities designed around the ‘design thinking’ model. From exploring identity and community issues to developing actionable plans for community improvement, each day offered new insights and challenges.

🔍 Day Highlights:

Engaging trust-building exercises and critical thinking workshops.

Experiential learning at the Ecumenical Temple and interaction with local ecosystems.

Adventure and teamwork in the beautiful landscapes of central Portugal.

Our evenings were filled with cultural immersion, from Kung-Fu sessions to poetry and film evenings, ensuring a well-rounded experience for all attendees.

The IRP not only fosters personal growth and skills development but also strengthens cross-cultural collaboration and understanding. We are proud to witness and share the innovative ideas and projects our participants have developed, aimed at creating sustainable futures in their communities.

🚀 The Foundation course for youth workers and volunteers as 'Community Mediators’ and young people to become 'Community Leaders' is Ready! The course is available in 6 languages!

Upon successful completion of the online program, trainees will be able to participate in an Immersive Residential Programme, of a total duration of 7 days (5 days of training, 2 days of travel) in Miranda do Corvo, Portugal.🌍

The participants will stay in a suitably designed environment together with young people from 1-2 partner countries and will have the opportunity to participate in a program of interactive workshops, educational interventions as well as experiential activities, such as mountain hiking, horse riding and other cultural events.

The Immersive Programme, with a one-to-one participation ratio (1 Youth Worker 👩‍🏫 and 1 Youth 👦 from youth groups with fewer opportunities), will engage in a unique mobility program that includes both mental 🧠 and physical 🏃 activities during a 5-day programme in Miranda do Corvo, Portugal 🌍 next year.

The only requirement is for both target groups (Youth Workers & Youth Groups) to complete the online Foundation Course 🖥️ once it is launched. So, register your email 📧 to get the announcement once it's out!

🌍🤝 We're excited to look back on our successful Transnational Planning Meeting (TPM) 2, which took place in the beautiful Miranda do Corvo, Portugal on July 10-11, 2023.

🚀 The meeting's agenda was designed as a 'mini Immersive Residential Programme (IRP)', using 'design thinking techniques to co-create the MYSTIC IRP for next year.

🌳 Our partners had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the local landscape through experiential activities and interactive co-creation workshops. Highlights included a visit to the ADFP Foundation's social residences, the Ecumenical Universalist Temple, the Biological Park of Serra da Lousã...

🐴 We also had an unforgettable equestrian experience at the Pedagogical Farm and Equestrian Center, and a trip to the Schist villages at Talasnal, Lousã.

🔮 The event was a great opportunity for partners to co-create the IRP in interactive workshop mode, fostering collaboration and innovation.
