Our mission is to promote friendship and service and to serve as a resource for young people who are talented in the visual and performing arts in and around Montogmery County, Maryland.
Join the Monumental Women for the Arts Chapter, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) in celebration of Women's History Month on Sunday, March 10 from 12 noon - 3:00 p.m.
View works in the permanent collection by Black women artists and current exhibitions featuring: Composing Color: Art of Alma Thomas; Carrie Mae Weems: Looking Forward, Looking Back; and Fighters for Freedom:William H. Johnson Picturing Justice.

We are all set and ready to go for our next series: Dramatic Arts - So You Want to be an Actor! This will be a FREE, 3 part series with dramatic arts industry professionals. Our presenters are:
Marilyn Sue Perry
Marilyn Sue Perry was raised in St. Louis, MO and graduated among the top of her class from the Visual & Performing Arts High School. She moved to NYC and graduated, with honors, from the City College of New York with a BFA. After college, she starred in many productions and performed at popular night clubs. Ms. Perry is a former Apollo Amateur Night Winner and has appeared in several Off-Broadway productions. Ms. Perry is currently teaching the craft of acting to school-aged children living in Los Angeles and is working on a one-woman, stand up musical comedy.
Robin Michelle Willingham
Robin Michelle Willingham is a dramatic and comedic actress with experience appearing on shows/films such as House of Cards, My Life and Water With a Slice of Lemon. Ms. Willingham has appeared in a number of local stage productions and is an experienced choreographer/dancer and back-up singer.
