Congratulations to Xavier Butler - he’s coming home from the UIL 4A State Track and Field Championships with silver medals in both the 100m and 200m (and broke his own school record in the 200m).

Our thoughts and prayers are with Coach Wintjen’s family.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of long-time BISD staff member Zeke Wintjen, who passed away unexpectedly this weekend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and all those who knew and loved him. Coach Wintjen was an inspiration to many in our community and his unwavering dedication to our students and athletes will be greatly missed. We will honor his legacy by continuing to uphold the values and principles he instilled in our students and staff through his coaching and mentorship.

Tonight, BISD and the Brazosport Exporters honored 1969 Exporter legend, Jody Ramsey, by inducting him, posthumously, into the Exporter Baseball Wall of Fame.
Jody was an outstanding athlete and a role model for all who met him.

Due to wet field conditions again, Today's game vs Sweeny has been postponed until Wednesday 4/26 at 7pm.

However, we are scheduled to play Bay City on Tuesday, 4/25 at home as well. If we are able to get the field playable, THE WALL OF FAME CEREMONY WILL BE TOMORROW AT 6:40.

We apologize for all the logistical issues and hope to see y'all at our next home game for the Wall of Fame Ceremony.

Congratulations to the Lady Exporters Varsity Golf Team on the completion of their historic season, 2nd place in district and an appearance for the first time ever at the regional championship tournament, we are all very proud of the hard work and dedication it took to reach these goals and to our seniors Kindra & Navi, thank you for all that you’ve and we will miss the spirit and leadership you brought our program once an Exporter always an Exporter. The 26-4A District Track Championships have been postponed due to inclement weather. The finals will be held on Thursday, 4/13 beginning at 10:00am at Stafford High School.

Newcomers found their niche While The Facts’ all-Southern Brazoria County girls basketball teams showed a youth movement, with most superlative selections being young players, that theme carried over into the newspaper’s first team.

Saturday at the Texas Relays …

Led off the day with the boys and girls running in the 4x100. Both the boys team of Jerius Flannel-White, Toric Goins, Clifton White, and Xavier Butler and the girls team of Tr’Chelle Harkless, Ahmasia Brown, Amaya Waddy, and Jacelyn Van D**e ran well.

Xavier Butler will bring home a TEXAS RELAYS SILVER MEDAL with his time of 10.67 in the finals!!!

With that, the regular season for Exporter Track and Field comes to an end. It’s CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON! 🏅

The Exporrters’ district meet is set for April 10 and 12 at Stafford. More on the event schedule as they are provided to us.
