When we returned to North Carolina, I became a reading specialist before transitioning into my most recent role as a learning specialist at Triangle Day School, an independent Pre-K through 8th grade school in Durham. Through these experiences and a decade of private tutoring, I discovered the detrimental impact to students’ self-esteem and academic success when their needs are not met, and the profoundly positive transformation that occurs when they are. This deepened my resolve to nurture students’ unique learning styles, implement effective solutions to educational challenges, and guide caregivers in the effort for academic success. My commitment to this goal and transition to Greensboro inspired me to start Liddy Stewart Academic Services.
