Rams begin the quest for a 3-peat with a dominating 11-2 win over a very good Independence team despite a very short bench. Next game in 2 weeks. Great to see the fans back in the stands. It made a huge difference!!!Let’s go Rams!

BACK-TO-BACK. Rams defeat Briar Woods 3-1 to win the Virginia State Championship for the second year in a row. Go Rams!!!!
Rams win! With a 3-2 win over a very good Battlefield team, Riverside advances to the Virginia State Finals for the second straight year. We will battle cross-town rival Briar Woods on Friday night at 8:20pm looking to finish off the season with a win and back-to-back state championships. Go Rams!!

A local hockey team endures the complications of high school sports during a pandemic For Riverside, one of the best high school hockey teams in the area, the 2020-21 season has featured empty rinks, limited body checking and locker rooms in the parking lot.

Riverside Rams vs Briar Woods RAMS HOCKEY GAME
In addition to our High School teams, we also have a Belmont Ridge/Riverside hockey team that plays in the Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League (NVSHL) and we are looking for interested players for the upcoming season. Any middle school age hockey players that currently attend Belmont Ridge Middle School or attend another middle school (e.g. private, home school) but are zoned to attend Riverside High School are eligible to play.

We hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during these certainly different times. School has started and while many of the sports are delayed high school hockey is proceeding as planned.
The State Champs begin our road towards a repeat with tryouts this coming Monday September 14th.

STATE CHAMPS!!! Rams win their first Virginia state championship in decisive fashion with a 12-3 win over a great Chantilly team. What a great end to a great season. Great job boys!
RAMS WIN!! RAMS WIN!! Riverside avenges it’s only regular season loss with a thrilling 2-1 win over a great Braod Run team and advance to our first ever State finals against Chantilly. Game time is 8pm Friday night in Ashburn. Go Rams!
State semifinal game is set - Riverside takes on Broad Run Wednesday 2/26 at 8:50pm on Ashburn.
It’s late and it’s a school night but we need a packed house to help us move on to the State Championship.

RAMS WIN! Rams knock out the defending champions Langley with a thrilling 2-1 shootout victory. Huge regulation goal by Gehrt to tie the game and then shootout goals by Darnell and Carollo. Goalie Hopewell stopped 3 of 4 shootout attempts. On to State semis Wednesday in Ashburn. Time and opponent TBD.
After a solid 7-0 victory over Madison the Rams advance to a quarterfinal matchup vs defending champions Langley. Game is Monday 2/24 at 5:50pm in Reston. Come on out as we continue our playoff run.

Here we go. Rams concluded the regular season with an 8–1-1 record, the best record in school history and the third best record in the league. We begin our run towards States in Ashburn Friday night at 9:10 vs Madison. Come on out, be loud, and cheer us on to the next round.
