Calling all female soccer players - Mako are currently looking for girls that would be interested in joining our Competitive/Travel teams for the 2024/24 season and will be holding tryouts on Thursday 18th at 7pm for anyone that would like to come along. We have spots for girls born between 2010 and 2016.

If you are interested please go into your daughters Mako account and select the tryout option under the Competitive 2034/25 Programs Available - that way we know who is coming and will also be able to send you an offer if tryouts are successful. If you do not currently have a Mako account then you can create one at www.makosoccer.com

The tryouts are non committal and will give you a good chance to see what competitive soccer is all about.

We want to address an issue that was noticed in having U-9 and U-12 groups. While this set-up created a larger number of teams, there was a significant difference in the development of our younger players within each group. We hope that by making this change, there will be a greater opportunity for positive player development. This season, Mako Lakewood Park will have U-6, U-8, U-10, U-12, and U-16 groups.
