Wheaton High School Field Hockey Team is looking for a JV Coach this season.

Their preseason schedule is 7am-9am and then we will be practicing at 3pm or 4:30pm.

Walkersville HS (Frederick, MD) is looking for a HOME () scrimmage. We are a 2A school with a turf field, who will most likely only have a Varsity team again this Fall. But, if a team has V & JV, they can also try to make that work by having her younger players play in the JV scrimmage with a few of their varsity players.

They would also be interested in a Varsity Tournament or Play Day that a team might be hosting and is looking for another team to join!

North Harford High School is looking for one additional varsity team to participate in a 4-team tournament on Saturday, September 7 from 8:30am-2pm. Each team plays 2 games.

They currently have three teams (North Harford, Mt Hebron, North County), and are looking to fill that 4th spot.

Mount de Sales’ Trace Thomson named IAAM 2023 Field Hockey Coach of the Year Every time the Mount de Sales field hockey players needed a morale boost, a glance to the sideline would reassure them that, no matter how the game was going, head coach Trace Thomson and assistants Kerri Keller, Allie Long (’17) and Caroline Hanlon (’14) were there for them.

On behalf of the Field Hockey Coaches Association of Maryland, CONGRATULATIONS to the 2023 Senior Class who participated in the Susan Pusey game last night! We commend you on a great high school field hockey career.

Below are some important dates and events that come with being a FHCAMD member:

Contact List:
We have created a contact list of all of the current members for your convenience. This document will also help you know what region you are in and who is your region rep; the region reps are designated in bold font. If you have any updated contact information to share with us, please send it along.

State Senior Game:
The State Senior Game is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15 at Troy Park in Elkridge, MD. Due to the overwhelming number of participants in 2022, we decided to add a third game to allow more playing time for the athletes. The nomination deadline is Saturday, October 15th. No late nominations will be accepted.

All-State Team Recognition:
Information on nominating up to three athletes from your team for All-State Team consideration will also be available in October. In addition, we will also recognize a Coach of the Year. All-State selection materials and criteria for the Coach of the Year award will be provided in mid-October with a deadline of Wednesday, November 1st to be considered for recognition.

Other items that are in the works and I hope you take advantage of as part of your FHCAMD membership are the Annual All-State Banquet in early 2024, a spring coaches clinic, and bringing back an in-person spring members meeting.

Please check your emails for our welcome email with all of the information you will need to nominate your players for the Senior game!
