Introducing the baker behind BAKR - .

Hi - I am Alexa! I could not be happier to be here and to finally share with everyone what I have been working on. 🍪 I’m guessing you have a lot of questions! I’ll start from the beginning - there are a few things you should know about me and why I started BAKR.

1. Sweets are my thing - they have been for a very long time. Whether it was baking countless goodies with my grandma and mom, eating an entire bag of mini Reeses and throwing the wrappers behind the dresser (only to have my mom find them time and time again, asking me to stop), or literally RUNNING home from school to eat a whole sleeve of Oreos. My career stats in sweets consumption are hall of fame worthy.
2. Baking is my passion - from learning the basics early on, to finding inspiration in the food network as I grew older, to expanding into different flavors, textures, and ingredients as I create my own recipes, it has always been a part of my life. I love it. It gives me an incredible amount of happiness and I can’t wait to share my creations with you.
3. Owning a business is my dream - Since I was young, I looked up to my dad, who owned his own business. Back then, I thought to myself, how cool is it that my dad gets to be his own boss? Little did I know how much more it would mean to me reflecting later in life. The long hours, his vision, and the tireless dedidaction to constantly working towards his dream every single day. He is the ultimate inspiration for finally taking this first step in my business ownership journey.

So thats the why! What does it look like? For now - just me, a chocolate chunk cookie and a dream to share my favorite desserts with the world. I have been thinking about this time of my life for as long as I can remember and it is surreal that it is finally here. I can’t quite put into words how I feel. It ranges wildly from excitement to nerves and everything in between. But one thing that is an absolute certainty in my mind - I am so happy to have finally taken that leap of faith!

Introducing the cookie that started it all: The Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk. BAKR’s take on the classic chocolate chip everyone knows and loves, but with an emphasis on flavor and experience. Rich, caramelized brown butter. Ooey gooey fair trade chocolate. Flakey sea salt that you sprinkle on top. Made with clean ingredients and nothing artificial…ever.

I love this cookie so much, it inspired my journey to bring BAKR to life. I can’t wait for you all to try it ❤️
