Manyu tradition has a rich history that dates back centuries
Folklore music in manyu has its origins in ancient times, with the use of instruments such as drums and the use of vibrant masquerades( abasinjom,ekpe) to animate festivals

In Recent years, manyu has experienced the appearance of talented modern folk singers As compared to early years.
It is very difficult to talk about modern folk music without mentioning Bate Nico official . He played a profound role in shaping manyu traditional music .
The type of music that is been produced by our modern folk singers showcases and highlight the cultural richness of manyu indigenes

The introduction of Western musical elements to Cameroon also has a tremendous impact on their music scene.
Modern folk music has played a vital role in various aspects of manyu traditional societies, including religious ceremonies, festivals, njangi Houses and rites of passage . It serves as a medium to tell stories about the history and cultural heritage of the manyu people.

We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. We write to you today with sincere apologies regarding the postponement of the highly anticipated Manyu Music Festival, which was originally scheduled to take place soon.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we needed to postpone the festival. We understand the disappointment and inconvenience this may have caused, especially for those who had already reserved tables and showed their support by sharing the event poster. Please accept our deepest apologies for any inconvenience caused.

However, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who took the initiative to promote the festival and demonstrate your unwavering support for our cherished Manyu culture. Your enthusiasm and efforts did not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for your dedication, especially to the Executive of Meca Johannesburg

We are pleased to announce that the Event has been rescheduled to be held between March and April 2024. We believe this extended timeframe will provide us with sufficient opportunity to make the necessary arrangements and ensure an even more spectacular event for all attendees.

In the meantime, we kindly request your patience and understanding as we work diligently to bring forth a remarkable and unforgettable celebration of Manyu music, arts, and culture. We share your anticipation and excitement, and we sincerely pray that the Almighty God blesses us all, granting us the opportunity to witness this wonderful event come to life.
