I'm sorry to say that our school board voted, 3 to 2, to pass the budget deficit recovery plan without any input from teachers, staff, parents or community. Don't give up! Squeaky wheel keeps the schools open. Send suggestions to our board members and superintendent. There have got to be places to make cuts first, without laying off staff and closing schools. We haven't even been asked to try yet.
Please join us at the SPUSD board meeting tonight for a very important session that may decide the fate of our school and district and JOBS!! Wednesday, 6pm, Glen City School Cafeteria.
