Refinished pine wardrobe, locally crafted by Argyle Pine.

Someone unknown to us painted this lovely old gal in a teal green— covering up all of that beautiful pine. We (cough cough my husband) spent hours uncovering and restoring it to its original beauty. Another perfect homeschool/craft cabinet but would also work well for linens or as a pantry in a homestead kitchen. Loads of storage and the shelves are adjustable in height. The inside, was also teal, and has been updated with a creamy white paint.

New to it k***s and two sets of antique cast iron half turn buttons really help to elevate the piece. I myself love the ball tip hinges 🥹

Revived, antique pine step-back cupboard. This old lass hails from now closed, local shop, p’Lovers. I have such fond memories of browsing through the lovely little space in my younger years. They closed up all three of their shops in 2018 but really had a real cozy beach vibe going for them. This wonderful old cabinet lived there for some time and was covered in butter yellow paint, some of which we’ve left for characters sake. A fresh coat of European wax and a little ageing wax really have her shining though. This one was almost all dear husband— he worked tirelessly and my goodness does it show 🥹

This piece would be oh so perfect in a kitchen. It at one time had upper doors but the open shelves now allow for ease of storage. So. Much. Shelf. Space.

All original hardware, bead board backing, shelf in the lower cabinet and deep smooth drawers.

A few scratches, bumps and bruises all commensurate with age. Top and bottom separate for ease of transport.

One of the lovelier maple chests we’ve stumbled upon. The maple is 👩‍🍳💋🤌🏽 but the detail in the mirror and hardware is what drew us in.

We’ve not had a chest that’s screamed vanity like this, in quite sometime. Could also work beautifully as an entry table or in a little one’s room.

All dovetailed drawers slide beautifully, castors roll easily, mirror can be removed for ease of transport. A rather cheery little chest if you ask me. No damage to note, a few scratches and such but nothing major.

Antique pine step back cupboard with extendable worktop.

This stunner of a hutch hails from an old South Shore homestead. Original wavy glass, latches, k***s and finish — it’s got it all. Top and bottom come apart for ease of transport and upper shelves can be moved to desired height. Worktop flips open to give you extra space for bread kneading or writing out recipes, lower cabinet boasts a shelf for storage of bowls, small appliances etc. well suited as extra storage space in a kitchen or a wicked dining room addition to house your finer pieces.

Loads of character as seen in some of the finish. Interior has been painted a creamy white, teacup hangers intact.

Refinished vintage, cherry sideboard by Knechtel.

The perfect ‘medium’ sized sideboard— a great piece for those smaller dining spaces or narrow hallways. Could also work beautifully as a sofa table. Painted in a blend of Midnight Blue and Coal Black. So much depth of colour and even more storage space. The top has been stained a deep walnut, original brass pulls, magnetic latches and drawers that slide with ease— one lined with velour for your silver.

Here I give you a refinished, maple, step-back cupboard.

A solid piece, begging to house all of your kitchen/dining wares. Has been sanded and painted in Putty (taupe ish) and finished off with their antiquing wax. New to her hardware and a deep walnut worktop add to the moody vibe we were going for. Loads of storage between the upper cabinet (that detaches from bottom), the dovetailed drawers and lower cabinet with shelf. A little pop of light blue inside of the lower cabinet doors adds a bit of a fun touch 🦋

Antique oak cradle and custom mattress by Home of Wool.

And so it begins — starting to part ways with some of our most cherished (antique) baby items 🥹 I searched for a cradle just like this for all three of our babies and only ever found one at the end of my last pregnancy— there’s just something about that old oak, so sturdy.

We had a custom tufted wool (hypoallergenic) mattress made for it. The cradle is full of character, the mattress is extra cozy. Mattress comes with two custom linen sheets and a wool mattress protector too.

A handsome, antique pine gentleman’s chest of drawers ⛵️

Two, over three, over three— hoo wee! She needed a bit of TLC when she arrived— some drawer repair, a snazzy new set of bun feet and an all over wax but she’s lookin’ right some good now 💋🤌🏽

She’s got some extra character to show; lots of little bumps and knicks and royal blue drawer interiors. In overall sound shape, sturdy and heavy. Original k***s, square nail construction and a good overall patina. Dated around 1870. Would fare well as entry storage, in a living space or bedroom.

Won’t be ready to go until Sunday as she needs another coat of wax, hubby is away and I’ve got two of three little humans down with a cold 🫠

A handsome, english pine twin bed (one remaining).

When I say this one hurts, I mean it. I’ve always dreamed of two sweet little pine beds for our babes. Fortunately (and also unfortunately) they love having their parents close by during the night and this mama bod would not snuggle well in said sweet little bed.

So we’re parting ways— begrudgingly. This bed made its way from the UK, fashioned of solid pine, comes with slats so you could use it with a boxspring or without. Pine footboard and side rails and all hardware included.

Completely refinished antique pine stepback cupboard. This one stands T.A.L.L, friends! Eight feet tall to be exact.

This stunner deserves to be showcased. It’s the second oversized cabinet we’ve photographed here and it honestly has me thinking we need a piece just like this, to fill this space.

These cupboards are getting harder and harder to come by, especially in this shape, at this height and at this age (1900). Solid pine, original hardware/latches, original wavy glass with bubbling throughout, and even a working lock and key to the bottom cabinet. The inside has been repainted in a warm white and the outside waxed with a European beeswax for the softest finish. The character (pictured) isn’t done the justice it deserves here. Trust.

Honestly I’ve wanted to work on this vintage Malcolm set since we started this little hustle of ours so when they rolled in I knew exactly what I wanted to do to bring them back to life. A 50/50 blend of in Cast Iron and Midnight Blue with a hefty coat of antiquing wax all over. The dark walnut stained tops really pop the cherry grain 🔥

These three pieces could be split up but are honestly begging to take up a little space in someone’s old world master. I could also see that lowboy in a swanky dining room 🖤

This lovely pine pantry would make the perfect craft cupboard or wardrobe in a bedroom. It could also hide a staggering amount of kids stuff— like an entire train table or 5000 legos. Sounds like a perfect Mother’s Day gift IMO 🫠 Swipe for a photo of our three littlest 🪿

Made of solid pine, sturdy and heavy, a high up latch to keep little ones out, if needed. Shelves are fixed but could be moved, a hanging bar could easily be added. A few small holes have been drilled in the back as it was likely used to conceal a TV at some point. Overall a really lovely piece.

It’s giving Bridgerton, folks 🫖👗🐎

This hundred and fifty year old Eastlake stunner has so many romantic & quirky details. I imagine it was once filled with dusty books, some well dressed lass sitting at the desk, writing love letters to someone overseas… swoon 🥵

Nowadays it would work well as a hutch in a dining space— use the desk top as a server— pull out extensions keep it secure and stable. The piece boasts original wavy glass, three knapp jointed drawers, hand carved pulls & wood escutcheons. The burl wood detailing gives the piece a little extra flare 💃 We’re extra in love with the deep, dark & moody tone.

A few minor repairs (pictured) have been made over the years; quite normal for her age. Top and bottom do separate. Upper shelves can be moved to change their depth.

We’ve learned so much since then but honestly I still have such a soft spot for this corner hutch. It’s housed my Nanny’s China, our little ones crafts and so many other bits and bobs. It’s been a piece that’s held such dear space in our home & hearts.

Alas, we’ve found a piece that works a bit better for the newly renovated space. So she’s up for grabs. She’s vintage and has been entirely painted out in Putty— the loveliest, staple neutral IMO.

Another handsome antique, two over three, solid pine, chest of drawers— a mouthful, always worth saying.

This large gal arrived covered in a few different coats of paint. Swipe to see the before. She was lovingly stripped, scraped & sanded by my better half. These last six weeks of new baby life haven’t allowed me much freetime and he’s really taking on the lions share, friends 🫶🏽

Original, oversized k***s (note one of the bottom left is cracked at the base- barely noticeable), hand carved, inch thick, dove tailed drawers and some pretty snazzy half columns make this chest unique without being too flashy. Has been waxed and buffed and is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. Again, large enough for a primary dresser but would also work well as a sideboard. Note one previously repaired panel on the top.

This MCM walnut gal was in rough shape but a bit of paint and Odie Oil and she’s lookin’ fiiiiiiiine. The midnight blue really pops that walnut grain 💥

Two drawers with hidden pulls, on solid wood centre runners slide perfectly. No issues to note.

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again- I’ve got a real soft spot for an oversized pine chest on bun feet.

This handsome NS made dresser boasts five sturdy drawers, a wicked patina and more charm than we’ve seen in some time. A fresh wax and new to her oversized k***s have brought her right back to her glory days- that we reckon were around the turn of the last century.

Dovetailed drawers that slide beautifully, character covered top/face & square nail construction are some of its most endearing features.

Would be lovely as a sideboard or certainly large enough as a primary dresser.

The only thing that excites us more than a really great antique find is a well made piece, designed with the same quality and craftsmanship as an antique.

This stunning, vintage Durham Furniture chest is exactly that. Solid maple and Canadian made. From the beveled swivel mirror to the double deep bottom drawers, the velvet lined hanky drawers and the brass lined escutcheons.

Would work well in a bedroom but could also be swell as a dining room sideboard or bathroom vanity. The mirror and hanky drawers are easily removed if that’s your preference.

It’s a rather heavy piece, very sturdy. All dovetailed drawers glide beautifully and are supported by wood centred runners.

Here I give you the set of oversized nightstands that has taken us six thousand weeks to complete — not because they were in rough shape but because I am 😂 The way of things with a newborn, folks. Trying to find our new normal and still do what we love, ya know?!

This matching set of Canadian made, solid pine nightstands did turn out pretty great though - a good project to get back into the swing of things, if you will.

Completely refinished, painted in Cast Iron (the perfect dark grey, nearly black tone) tops have been stained in a moody walnut with new oil rubbed bronze cup pulls. It’s the curved bottoms that get me— a nod at the commonly seen antique dressers of years past 😍 All solid wood drawers slide perfectly.

This lovely little coffee table has layers of different, chippy paint that show its age and history. Not too big, not too small 🐻 A drawer to store your remotes or extra candles— the perfect off white with hints of light blue and charcoal showing through.
