New set alert! These friends will be on Etsy soon!
Check out these lovely period Victorian cap tiles used in Our Restoration Nation’s gorgeous bathroom design!!
Not gonna lie: we had a pretty major set back today. It’s repaired, but it took time. Precious time. Time we won’t have. So, it’s will be another 18 hour day or work. But at least I can look at this space and see the realty of what we are doing. Everywhere else may be chaos, but this little corner is a thing of beauty. Double marble sink all the way from , Victorian tile surround from .salvage , floor tile from and a gorgeous 140 year old oil lamp chandelier converted to electric.

The texture on them reminds me of Grueby and would look perfect in an Arts & Crafts space. DM for details.

“Thank you for your contribution to my lovely new-old bathroom. I will be happy to recommend your shop to any friends who, like me, see the beauty in salvaged materials such as vintage tile.”
Last year, a lovely NYC client purchased some vintage liner tiles for her bathroom renovation and I just got pictures of the finished product — WoW! I love how she blended different designs and patterns to create this precious little accent!

These gorgeous Trent tiles came out of a late 1890s St. Louis home. While the structure will remain, the owner sadly wanted nothing to do with these beautiful mottled historic tiles. Check out the last slide to see how they looked when I found them. They’ve come a long way! Hearth measures 63” wide x 18” tall, surround measures 36” wide x 33” tall. DM with interest!

These stunners never made it to my shop because they got scooped up by my wonderful client Jane as soon as she saw them in my stories! The first photo shows my initial design, while the second and third show the customizations we added to make these perfect for her 1920s home. If you ever see something of mine you like but have some additional ideas, reach out!
All of these gorgeous historic tiles came from the collection of a lifelong tile collector who traveled the world finding unique tiles and those that brought him joy. The field tiles hail from the Old Bridge Tile Company, while the high relief figural tiles are from the Kensington Tile Company.

Got a bunch of cuties headed to Etsy this afternoon! Reach out if any tickle your fancy ☺️
If you’ve spent any time looking at fireplace hearths, you’ve probably noticed that the outside edge is worse for the wear due to 100+ years of folks stomping on them, stabbing them with pokers, and generally being hard on them. If you love your hearth but want to clean up the edges, let’s talk! I can design one to fit your measurements and colors and bring that hearth back to its glory days! Here’s a few examples.
A friendly reminder never to give up on you old tiles! Before and after on these cute little yellow friends! Same tile, side by side!
