At our northern Mich training location. Bentley, at 19 months, scent pointing woodcock yesterday - this video is edited as Bentley held point for well over 3-4 minutes and didn’t move until Keith released him. This was Bentley’s second point on wild birds showing promise as a great grouse dog. Can’t beat wild birds for training a young “up and comer”.

When it’s hot, you find the ONLY mud puddle in the VERY dry woods while hunting - you make sure you take advantage of it!

This has become a frequent activity lately - all of our dogs love the water (the lake), but Bentley has decided he loves the pool almost as much.
