It would be cool if other photographers share this too, even if only to make people think. To succeed in what we do, and still make a living - then it's important we get paid a fair price!
Working for "exposure" or "credit" when it's not in your interest will only get you more of the same.
Creatives are not disposable commodities - remember this when someone offers you "experience" or "exposure".
Passing through West Virginia on my road trip to where I now live I made this photograph of this barn. It was shot on Agfa 50, one of the most saturated films ever made. A bit too saturated for most of my purposes, but it was fun for landscape images like this. Unfortunately it is no longer made.....

Monday afternoon I received a phone call from the photo department of The New York Times. They needed a portrait of a retired policeman living in McKeesport, PA the next morning and uploaded by 10:30 that morning. After the shoot Tim, my assistant, and I found a Dunkin' Donuts with internet connection and I was able to send off the photos by deadline. For the last 26 years Dennis Bergevin has bravely battled AIDS. When he learned that he had the virus he was told he had two years to live. In 1990, not long after receiving the diagnosis he moved to Pittsburgh. In the year’s prior he had come to Pittsburgh at least 4 times per year...
