When an organization needs to get to specific destination, the only way forward is by jumping in with both feet. Movement requires motion. Motion requires moxie. Moxie requires good information of where the organization currently is standing and where it's capable of moving towards. So, take a deep breath. With the right support, you can dive in confidently.

A healthy Nonprofit team is flexible, reaching outward, and always looking up towards a promising future. Rigidity will impede growth. Exclusiveness will breed ignorance. Negativity will pollute the vision.

Many of us pass up opportunities because of the risk of failure. What we forget is that *no one* who has succeeded has got to where they are today because they skipped out on failure. Instead, the most successful organizations and leaders are the ones who have failed time and time again but chose to keep trying until they got it right.

Although the summer is winding down, there is no need to become frantic about the future. Take time to sit back and reflect on these three things:

1. Who do we need to reach out to bring in outside support in regards to our mission? (a financial advisor, marketing expert, or a nonprofit coach)

2. How can I build into my team this week? Who do I need to encourage? Who do I need to guide in a more specific way?

3. What are the innovative opportunities the organization can take to propel itself forward? What good risks can we embrace?

Don't panic, friend. Prepare. Good things are ahead for those who take the time for reflection before reaction.
