Finally got some time to paint today!☀️

This school year has been keeping me SO BUSY, my to-do list seems never-ending and overwhelming if I look at it too long 😅
I was so thankful for the extra time I had to stop and paint today.
When your watercolor painting, you have to be okay with not being completely in control and that can be so hard!! With the perfectionist that I am, watercolor is a great way for me to learn to let go and just see what the paint does!
I can’t control everything, that’s for God, and good thing too. He has so much power, beyond what we can even imagine! It’s best to give Him control! If you allow Him into heart, you might be surprised at what He can do 💞

Rainy days call for rainbows 🌈
I don’t know about you but I put EVERYTHING in rainbow order! I use my pens in rainbow order when taking sermon notes, I put headers in rainbow order on my computer, the tabs on OneNote have to be in rainbow order.... it just makes me feel very organized!

Progress check ✨ ☀️
On the left you’ll see the first mountain scene I ever painted over a year ago!
I have absolutely loved painting mountains ever since then and it’s always encouraging to see the progress I’ve made!
I also wanted to add a little message on this recreation, I needed this reminder of God’s power and control and who knows, maybe someone out there needs it too ❤️

Just a PSA to make sure you always use clean water when doing watercolor! The left one was done with the same water I used to clean my brushes while painting my rainbow tree! You can see how the colors are not as bright and seem to be a little grey/brown.
