A message from Tina!

Thank you everyone for all your heartfelt prayers and wishes. My surgery was successful and thus far my new kidney is functioning well.

I know that some of you were considering becoming my living donors. It sincerely warms my heart and humbles my soul that you wanted to help me. Words truly can’t express my gratitude.

Please meet Tina. She is a loving mother and wife, and a caring daughter and friend. In order to be all those things in the years to come Tina needs your help to find a hero, a living donor with O positive or negative blood, who will be generous and kind enough to donate one of their kidneys to save her life.

Living with Kidney Disease for well over a decade has been difficult in so many ways both for Tina and those who love her. Physically she is tired, nauseous, and often feels unwell. Her kidney function has been diminishing greatly and is now below 12%. Given that her blood type is O positive she has not been able to find a match. In addition to her rare blood type, Tina is in a unique position whereby the antigens in her blood also have to match the potential donor. As a result, none of her family members were a match. A life line for Tina, could come from your assistance in casting this plea out toward your own Facebook Community, encouraging others to participle in sharing on their own walls, all for which may increase a direct reach to those who have type O blood and ultimately, an O type eligible Samaritan.

Her biggest desire is to be there for her son, and those that she loves for as long as she possible can.
