Claiming his 12th title and the $400 first prize, the U.S. commentator scored 247 points in the two-hour arena and posted a 48-game unbeaten streak in the middle of the event.

World number one Magnus Carlsen has been wreaking havoc since his loss against Alireza Firuza. After defeating Firuza yesterday in 3 straight games in the Freestyle-Chess G.O.A.T Challenge, today he defeated another young Turk (Uzbek ;)) Nadirbek Abdusatorov in the first game of the semifinals. This Uzbek accepted defeat in only 36 moves.

On the other hand, Levon Aronian is showing the old bones. Aronian defeated Fabio Caruana in the other semi-final of the winners bracket today after beating youngster Vincent Keymer in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, world champion Ding Liren continues to lose. Alireza Firuza, who was knocked out of the winners bracket yesterday, lost him in the semi-finals of the losers bracket. Dommaraju Gukesh is also losing. The Indian got off to a great start on the first day of the tournament but has struggled ever since, losing to local hero Vincent Keymer today in just 22 moves.
