Beautiful July Sussex flowers grown by
Pretty meadow box table centres from a few weeks ago
- these are so versatile and easy to transport and move around making them perfect for repurposing, from aisle / floor meadow arrangements, to running along the centre of tables -long and low so as not to obstruct anyone’s view - or arranged to frame a cake table or make a feature of an area - multipurpose or what 💪🏼
These ones were packed with the best of British from late spring - including ranunculus, roses and poppies - which do it for me every time 😍
Meaningful florals 🫶🏻
I love to weave story telling through floristry, creating meaningful designs with a personal sentiment.
This bespoke centrepiece featured British daffodils and narcissi, flowers which held a very personal meaning and memory for those involved. They were selected to represent and celebrate the beginning of what became a life long love story.
Do any flower types hold a special significance for you?
Big thanks to for a fantastic customer service enabling me to buy British even in the depths of late January 🤍💛
Arrangement in chicken wire 👍🏼
Special flowers 🕊️
This fully biodegradable sheaf was made in five separate sections, and included many flowers that held a special sentiment including daffodil & narcissi which had a very personal meaning & represented the beginning of a lifetime of love. Also amongst others, freesia which symbolises friendship, hellebore for peace and tranquility, hyacinth for love and prayer, tulips for perfect love & rosemary for remembrance 🤍
I thought I’d start the new year with a 👋🏼 and an intro as I’ve never done one before. (I know I’m far from alone in finding this kind of thing out of my comfort zone, but also not alone in realising the importance and doing it anyway!)
To give a bit of background on me, I spent my 20s and 30s building a career in PR & events, creating and managing media launches and shoots for global fashion and beauty brands and some of the best health & beauty brands on the high street.
Working with florists to transform event spaces was always my favourite aspect, I always took on the floral brief for a launch and loved how floral design could elevate an event. For me, the room was never ready until the flowers were in place, but it wasn’t until the pandemic, an extended maternity leave and the loss of my Dad that I started to fully indulge and immerse myself in florals and start creating for myself.
Feeling like there was something in it, I took a 6 week beginners floristry course and I was hooked - a new life was ignited, leading to a year studying floristry levels 2 and 3 at Plumpton College, learning big installations & other courses at Sussex Flower School and working for over a year now with an incredible florist at her beautiful florist shop which I love, (Bella June in Hassocks) covering luxury retail, weddings, tributes and events. I’ve also been freelancing as much as possible on some amazing weddings, taking my own bookings, and basically living and dreaming florals (literally).
Thank you so much for following along so far, please do get in touch / DM with any floral enquiry or for freelance support ❤️
