Battleground Lacrosse Gives Area Players Place to Shop Damon Waxler was led into the world of memorabilia by collecting as a child. It would eventually lead to opening the store Dixie Pickers in October 2012 on Main Street in Collierville’s Town Square.

WSHS will be at the Run for Sparta 5K today starting at 3:30. We'll be selling Chik-Fil-A sandwiches, drinks, and our brand new t-shirts. We'd love to see some alumni at the booth.

Claire was extremely involved in the Ridgeway Lacrosse team, and she was a huge help as an assistant with the WSHS team the year the two teams merged together. She obviously cared a lot about the game and the guys on the team. She will be missed.

Ferguson also reflected on his team's fortunes, adding: "It's all about team spirit. In a match, I only need eight of my players to be on top form. If the other three aren't up to it, it's not ­serious. The other eight do the work for them.

"There has only been six matches where I've had all 11 players perform at their very best. It's like swallows. They always fly together in a group, in a V formation, and those at the front do the majority of the work. And they alternate regularly.

"If one swallow flies out of formation, two others go to get him and bring him back into the group. It's the same in my teams - sacrifice, friendship, and the giving of oneself to the team."

Team end-of-year party and alumni game will be Saturday the 14th at 4pm at White Station. Let me know if you're planning on being there. Tyler Flowers, Ryan Pavlicek, Nick Thomas, Hans Bauer, Zach Saltzman, Kyle Frame, etc. Pass the word along to all of your other alumni friends, and let's get a good turnout.

Today's game at Briarcrest has been rescheduled for Saturday at 11am.

Huge game tonight at Briarcrest at 7pm. If we win by 2, we are assured a spot in the playoffs. Good time for some alum like Tyler Flowers, Eric Seligstein, Nick Thomas, Hans Bauer, Ryan Pavlicek, Andre Armendariz, and Alex Boyce to come out and support the team.

Practice Made Perfect Wesleyan Lacrosse

From my point of view on the sidelines, that was as good of a last 8 minutes of a game as I have ever been a part of. Here's to all of you that stepped up individually, so that we could step up as a team. Huge win to kick off the season.

Good scrimmage at MUS yesterday. We took a loss, but it was pretty good for our first day on a full field this spring. Hope everyone recovers for a big week this week.
