Hello everyone! A little look at what I've been working on here. Baby pinafore made from stretch corduroy and a matching long sleeve shirt. It's been a bit quiet on here as I try to get some things ready to send to Canada in time for Christmas. At the same time I've been more busy than usual at my other job (ESL teacher) that I've had to take it slow on the sewing front. This means that not all that I had planned will be done in time but that's okay 👍.

It's not available yet, but I couldn't resist posting a picture of my newest version of the Laurel dress. We have been on vacation the past few weeks and I was able to get my brother to take a few pictures for me. I'm not sure yet when these will be in the store, but if you are interested in getting your hands on one, let me know!

I don't know about you, but I love the look of wooden buttons. I prefer the natural look and feel over a plastic button any day. So when I had the opportunity to buy them in bulk, I went for it.

Things have been quite so here the past few weeks. As my maternity leave ends from work and we are as adjusting to life again, I'm slowly getting back into things.
Here's a little look at something I put together as a baby gift. Who knows, maybe it will show up again 😊

On the afternoon of November 19th we welcomed our little girl to this world. Everything went well and we were home the same evening!

The items are still on their way (and believe me I check the tracking code multiple time a day 🙃). Here is a look at what is inside. Toddler overalls made from a lovely (somewhat stretchy) ribbed fabric. Sizes range from 6mths to 2 yrs.

November is baby month. We are looking forward to meeting the newest member of our little family. I will be on maternity until further notice. You can still contact me about products etc, it just might take a bit longer to get an answer.

Today's fabric is Muslin. This lightweight fabric is 100% cotrkn and has become very popular over the last few years with sewists when it comes to summer makes. Due to its loose weave, muslin is lighter and more breathable than traditional cotton. Its sponge like quality makes it very absorbent and soft, exactly what you want in summer shirts or receiving blankets for the littlest one.
Muslin comes in different colours and prints are becoming more and more available. It comes in a thin single layer but also in double and triple layers.
Tip: when working with muslin, it's a great idea to bast your harder seams so they don't move while you are sewing. The sponge like property can play tricks and move or spread out a lot under your sewing machine's pressure foot.
