More exciting things happening around the Township!

First, I attended the Grand Opening of The Nook Co. in Corunna. We are so happy to have another great local business in our Township! Congratulations!

I also attended a ceremony in Sombra to celebrate a new mural at Blue Willow. This was a project between a few different Township groups and is a great addition and wonderful work of art!

And finally, thank you to Courtright for the invitation to their Santa Claus Parade! And a special shout-out to my driver Quinn Howlett!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Lest we forget. Thank you to all of those who have served and continue to serve for our freedom.

There were many thoughtful Remembrance Day services over the past few days. Aamjiwnaang held a lovely service yesterday and I also attended our service in Corunna this morning. Wreaths were also placed at the cenotaph in Brigden. Thank you to all of those who participated in these meaningful ceremonies and helped us all take the time to remember those we've lost.

CORUNNA'S DROUIN TO BE INDUCTED INTO INDIANA UNIVERSITY HALL OF FAME

Derek Drouin (below) has been chosen as an inductee into the Indiana University Hall of Fame. The Corunna high jumper was one of the most dominant athletes to ever wear Hoosiers' colours.

Drouin, a graduate of St. Pat's and a member of the Sarnia Athletics Southwest Track and Field Club, attended Indiana from 2010-13.
The Corunna product went on to win a bronze medal for Canada at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and a gold medal in Rio at the 2016 Games.
