Kyle Allen, who recently starred in Kenneth Branagh's A Haunting in Venice, is heading to San Diego Comic-Con this week to launch a new comic book titled Fiberglass that will be published by Dynamite Entertainment.

Allen’s key creative partner on Fiberglass is indie filmmaker Anders Jay Ravenstad, a longtime friend and film industry colleague, and they’ve teamed with writer Dennis Culver (Unstoppable Doom Patrol) and artist Geoffo (Spider-Gwen) on the project, which originated with Allen.

Fiberglass is described as a gut-wrenching, brain-melting, lovestruck tale of a world that exists just beyond our sight and out of our reach. The protagonist is a young man named Cory Salamanca, who is thrust into an ancient world of crime in the neon-lit, graffiti-covered underbelly of New York City, where power waits to be taken, and history is written in blood. His only chance of survival is a covert group of operatives known as Fiberglass, who are desperately trying to keep the gangs of the Underground Empire in check — even if that means sacrificing Cory in the process.

"Seven years of endlessly wandering New York City researching and reimagining its histories and mysteries, brought together by a truly incredible partnership with Anders Ravenstad,” Allen said of Fiberglass’ journey from idea to comic book. “[There were] about six false starts [and] countless rewrites, [but with] the incredible team at Dynamite, the course-correcting wisdom of Dennis Culver, the visual super-stardom that is Geoffo, and a literal village of dear friends contributing ideas and urging us not to give up…. that all brings you Fiberglass. [It’s] special to me not because I made it up, but because I can no longer tell which parts I made up. The theme of the story is how the story was made — 'It’s only impossible when we do it alone.'"

“Kyle and I are creatives formed by our love of comics, and introducing readers to our world through this medium is an absolute privilege. This is an insane, colorful, complex story, and the tireless efforts made by Dennis, Geoffo, and the Dynamite Team to help bring this vision to life is nothing short of monumental,” said Ravenstad. “When I think of people devouring our comics in the same way I did so many others in my local comic shop Fantasy Books and Games, I don’t know what to do with myself. Now that we’ve found our way to the other side of the page, I’m overjoyed to finally say, ‘Welcome to Fiberglass.’”

Geoffo and I have been great friends since we worked together on a book for Marvel, so much so that we've kept making books together. Allen broke out on the Hulu series The Path starring Aaron Paul and Michelle Monaghan, and he has since appeared in American Horror Story: Apocalypse and as Jets gang member Balkan in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story.

Allen and Ravenstad are represented by UTA, Entertainment 360, and Huy Nguyen of HJTH, while Barrucci and Dynamite are repped by UTA, Ford Gilmore of Illuminati Entertainment, and Michael Lovitz of Lovitz IP Law.

Launch Series to Celebrate Franchise's 40th Anniversary!

Declan Shalvey is one of the most talented creators in our industry as both a writer and an artist. With Dynamite, he's excelled as a writer! He helped us launch Thundercats #1 at 200,000 copies, and we wanted to find more projects to work on together. And we found it - The Terminator!

When Terminator was signed, we discussed creators to approach, and Declan was top of the list. When he said yes, we were elated! And then were able to bring in Luke Sparrow as the artist. You can see a few pages below of Luke's interiors, with the covers as well!

And we wanted to ensure we placed our best foot forward, so worked with Diamond to acquire the cover to Previews Magazine! Previews Magazine cover is still the biggest marketing tool for launches, and we're greatly appreciative that we could pull this together!

The plans to kill Sarah Connor and her son John have failed, but that isn't going to stop the genocidal Skynet. If at first it doesn't succeed, it's going to expand the theater of operations. There are still a few more avenues into the past to try that will allow it to eliminate the human resistance before it even starts. Skynet and its Terminators are determined to stamp out these pivotal figures in history before they lead to their processors being smashed into silicon shrapnel.

Army Of Darkness Sequel Comic Gets Gore-Tacular Finale!

Writer Tony Fleecs' New Canon Comes to a Close

Almost exactly a year ago, one of the biggest stories in Army of Darkness lore was announced. Visionary comics creator Tony Fleecs (Stray Dogs, Local Man) has been crafting for a year the long-awaited direct sequel to creator Sam Raimi's original vision for the ending of the final film starring Ash. Now it's all coming up on its finale, and it had to be bigger, better, and gorier than ever!

Army of Darkness Forever #13 ups the ante with 40 action-packed pages of the trademark horror-comedy mayhem that fans have loved for over three decades. Originally the series was slated to be shorter, then was officially announced as extended to 12 issues thanks to the support of fans. But the full scope of the story could not be contained within those bounds, or even a regular sized extra issue. Hence the oversized dose of all-out carnage in this lucky thirteenth chapter!

Writer Tony Fleecs is joined by a trio of incredible artists to chronicle the absolute chaos and Deadite slaughter within the special release's splatter-ific pages. Those three contributing their unhinged artwork include Eamon Winkle, Kewber Baal, and Pop Mahn.

They're joined by crazed covers by series stalwarts Arthur Suydam, Bjorn Barends, Chris Burnham, and Tony Fleecs himself. Each cover underlines the bloody finale and is a can't miss for every horror fiend's collection.

The series has been juggling three distinct timelines, the S-Mart aisles of 1993, the middle ages mayhem of Castle Kandar, and the mysterious neon-soaked vistas of 2093 overrun with the Army of Darkness. With the latter picking up immediately after the alternate, but originally intended shock ending of the film. They all converge and come to a close in this issue, which very well could be the true finale for the story of Ashley Williams! The whole creative team is putting the "grand" in grand-guignol, giving this iconic character the heroic sendoff he deserves!

SDCC Announcement! 'THE POWERPUFF GIRLS' NEXT ONGOING WRITER REVEALED - Paulina Ganucheau!

Just as The PowerPuff Girls #1 is in stores and selling out, Dynamite and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products are excited to announce more sugar and spice coming this October for The Powerpuff Girls fans, announced today just in time for San Diego Comic-Con.

In addition to an upcoming special, the ongoing series of The Powerpuff Girls jumps into its second phase with a brand new writer. Multiple Eisner Award-nominated scribe Kelly Thompson tackled the first trio of tantalizing tales for the series. She was joined by artists Paulina Ganucheau, Karen S. Darboe, and Miriana Puglia on each issue, respectively. Now for issue #4, Thompson hands off the baton to her own Powerpuff Girls collaborator, as Paulina Ganucheau takes on writing the next three issues.

"It would be an understatement to say how beyond honored I am to be taking up the helm on one of the greatest properties ever and to follow in the comics footsteps of the great Kelly Thompson," said writer Paulina Ganucheau. "I am so excited, and as a lifelong fan I will be putting my best foot forward with these three issues. Now, if only I could go back in time and tell my 10-year-old self that she'd one day be writing The Powerpuff Girls comics, she would shoot through the roof!"

Next week is San Diego Comic Con, and we have many Dynamite announcements! And we have to! It's our 20th Anniversary!!!!! We have to change things up a bit, as we have many announcements hitting this year. We normally would start our announcements the Monday before the show, but we are rolling out our announcements a few days earlier!

Our first announcement brings a new creative team to Barbarella! We are bringing on Blake Northcott and Anna Morozova on the new series! Blake has worked on multiple series in the industry from Catwoman to Fathom, Vampirella, her prose work and Heavy Metal! Anna Morozova burst into 2000 AD back in April 2019 with a stunning Future Shock and since then her artwork has been a regular feature of both Progs and the Megazine, her stylings instantly recognizable whether on horrific Terror Tales or the all-ages fare of Lowborn High, and now to Dynamite's Barbarella. I can't wait for the fans to read Blake's story and check out more of Anna's beautiful art!
