Listen, we love our babies, but last night was a much needed break. Last night we shared laughs, cries over Guac n Margs. We gathered at and had a blast. Thank you ๐๐พ to all the Mamas who attended last nightโs event. Itโs our sincere pleasure to organize these events and meet each of you!

In this time - our community is taking the time to Pause & Pray.
This is difficult. These moments are tough. As mothers our heart breaks for the moms, parents, and caregivers of those babies. Also our prayers are filled lifting up the Heroic educators.
The climate is heavy and thick and we are just pausing. Pausing to be ever more present in the tiny moments shared with our babies and families. We are Praying. Praying for the families, for healing, for comfort and for resolution.
We will pause on any scheduled activities for the remainder of May and will resume in June.

We kicked off our TMMS play dates for the year with a Bang! Over the weekend moms gathered with their babies in Palm Beach Gardens to chat, laugh and fellowship. While the moms chatted, the babies got some great play time in.

Mamas, how is Morning Rush Hour for you in your household?
I remember sitting in on a Clubhouse room and listening to a mom describing her mornings with her children and how hectic it could be. What she explained next hit me. She explained that as adults, weโre trying to do all the things to get out of the house. Rushing to do this and that, all while our toddler is dragging their feet.

๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ?
She further explained toddlers have no concept of time, so rushing them is pointless. This hit me because I think of all the times I slept past my alarm now to rush myself and my daughter, she will still move at her โpaceโ because thatโs what she knows. I would grow angry causing a heated morning departureโฆ. after hear that mama speak I have shifted my routines and these are the tips I do to make my morning with London a little smoother ๐
1. Clothes + Accessories + socks all laid out the night before, along with any grooming products needed that morning.
2. Prep pack lunch the night before as much as possible leaving hot food for morning.
3. Have fun breakfast snacks/juice ready for toddler because I already know she will ask
4. Have bags packed and ready by door along with keys.
5. Have โGet Readyโ music to make mornings fun and not a drag

It is that time roughly between 5P - 7P where your getting off work, picking kids up from daycare, aftercare or practice then drive home.
These hours are short but they are so long. Being toddler moms now, we experience the rush hour to pick up, the meltdowns because they are โstarvingโ, the mood swings the whole 9 Yards. We thought we were alone in this until we started speaking to other moms. This is why are so important. We began to share tips on surviving the Parent Witching Hour
๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฆ๐ ๐ญ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐:
1. We try to have healthy fun snacks ready in the car
2. If we are going straight home have meal prepped as much as possible for easy prep and feed.
3. Going to park to exhaust even more energy
4. Establishing a consistent night routine

One day, we were in our local mall and having our children play in the kid soft play area. One of the kids jetted out of the play area. We knew this child was not with an adult as he was running along his merry way. We pan the area to look for a frantic adult. We finally saw the mother insanely worried, looking through the crowd for her son. We guided the child back to the mother. We witnessed her take the largest sigh of relief.
Itโs in these moments, where we have the opportunity to show our sisters that we have each other. No judgements, just help. When I see a mother who can use a little assistance, I try to help. ๐๐โ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ๐ ๐๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ, ๐๐๐ฆ๐!

Mamas, our mental health is so important and if it means dropping your kid off to a loved one or enrolling your child into daycare (parttime) to get some โme timeโ - I will forever be an advocate of that.

When I was pregnant with London, I didnโt find any local mom groups that reflected me and my daughter. I wanted a community of moms who look like us and can share testimonials good or bad that I could resonate with.
A community welcoming to brown, Black and Tan Mamas regardless of your child rearing choice.
This selfie was taken at our most recent meetup and it really warms my heart because we left with our minds, hearts and souls full. I am so Thankful for this opportunity to serve and bring this to South Florida.
