To commemorate the 4th Anniversary of NEP 2020 school observed 2nd day of Sikcha Saptah by various activities. The theme of the day's program was Foundational Literacy and Numeracy day. Students and teachers were engaged with various activities throughout the day by doing given activities and games:

3. Taking pledge on NIPUN
4. Rhymes competition
5. Story Telling session with expression
6.Sher Ke muu me Ladoo
7.Song chain /Antakshri on nursery rhymes

Our student miss Lyangchyomit Lepcha of class VI had participated in Lepcha Poem Recitation competition for junior level organised by 210th Bhanu Jayanti Celebration Committee at Sardar R.B.Gurung SSS school Kaluk on 11th July 2024 and was able to secured 2nd Position. She was felicitated by Chief Guest followed by other distinguished guests on 13th July with a beautiful trophy and certificate. Thanks to her guiding teachers and Congrats to her and best wishes for your future...

On 12th of July 2024
Government Junior High School Zeel celebrated “Sikkim Paryavaran Parva” with the theme “Leave a Green Legacy” in collaboration with Eco-Club of the school.
Under this Banner “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign was successfully observed which was launched by our Honourable CM Shri Prem Singh Golay in our state to pay tribute to Mother and nature.
In this campaign School Head Master Mr P.D.Bhutia along with teachers, students and the parents took part by planting numerous saplings 🌱 of flowering as well as non flowering plants around the school premises and mass cleanliness drive was done.
After the plantation program, students were engaged in online Quiz competition based on the theme Environment and its conservation by Green teacher miss Sandhiya chettri supported by Mr Suzan Gurung, GT Maths. School also paid tribute to Adhikavi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya by offering khadas to the portrait of him and remembering his achievements and contributions towards Nepali language and literature.

तिथिभोजन (Tithi Bhojan)program under PM Poshan scheme was successfully conducted in the school on last working day before summer vacation I.e on 27th June 2024, Kheer (Rice pudding)was sponsored by HM and Miss Rabina Gurung on the occasion of their pre birthday celebration. We would like to urge our local gentries and Guardian's to kindly donate half meal or full meal on the name of their near and dear ones as a Tithi Bhojan.

Today School concluded week long observation of World Environment Day 2024 with various activities. This year the theme of WED was Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience. The activities performed during the program were
1.Taking oath on Environment and speech on environmental issues by students during each day of morning assembly
2.maintenance of Nutritional/Kitchen garden tree hugging and identifying species of plants around the school premises.
3. Construction of Compost pit
4. Segregation of wastes
5. Maintenence and cleaning of Water Harvesting system
6. Painting/ Drawing on Environment related issues
7. Planting of saplings in and around school premises
8.Silent Rally

Zeel junior Highschool observed" World Menstrual Hygiene day" on a theme " Breaking the silence around period". It focuses on maintaining hygiene aswell as switching to sustainable menstrual options such as cloths pads, menstrual cup etc.
The programme was initiated under the guidance and supervision of Health and wellness Ambassadors Miss Sandhiya chettri and Miss Kharki Maya Gurung supported by other female teachers of the school, Miss Rabina Gurung and Miss Churgmit Lepcha.
Awareness was given by demonstrating how to use sanitary napkins during the time of menstruation and how to dispose properly after use. Talks on myths and taboos related with menstruation was also discussed and urged all the male students and staffs to give respect and support during the time of bleeding.

Friday Activity
Inter House Quiz competition was held for the students of Primary section wherein Red House emerged as 1st Position and Yellow and Green House secured as 2nd Position and Blue as third position. It was a successful event due to relentless work by all the members of Literary committee and the hard works of respective House masters. Congratulations to entire team and the participants..and hope to witnessed much more exciting events in coming days ahead...

"Giving is not just about making a donation,it is about making a difference." Our Non teaching staff Mr Dorjee Tshering Lepcha, Office Attendant donated a fan during PTA meeting meant for the students of kindergarten in order to get relief during these scorching days of summer. Thank you from all of us .

School observed Earth day with various activities today . Science GT miss Sandhiya Chettri highlighted about the importance of observing Earth Day in today's scenario. Students took part in collecting plastic bottles and wastes around the school premises and took pledged on making school plastic free zone. A short documentary on importance of observing Earth day was also shown to Students in order to get thorough understanding on the topic.

Remarkable gesture towards the school by celebrating birthday of his daughter by one of our staff Mr Phur Tshering Lepcha and sharing joy and happiness among the other school students .On her daughter Sofyoum's request he beautifully arranged a small birthday program in the school and shared happiness in a unique way. Today the 30th March 2024 ,School observed the Story Telling program under Wisdom Bridge Concept . School had invited guest as Shri M.B.Tamang a retired teacher of Namgaon Pry. Teacher for the story telling session. He beautifully narrated the past struggles he had faced during his school days and also demonstrated the ways and techniques of teaching during those days.He also narrated few stories based on moral values and urged the students to inculcate the habit of good values in their life. Story Telling session was followed by HM and Mr Y.T. Lepcha and had a interaction session with students. The students had really enjoyed the program and had experienced unique program during Bag less day.
