Almus - It's good for the soul

Plastic presumably takes centuries to deteriorate and our planet is being overrun with it. We all know about the damage and bottles are doing, but what about microplastic? refers to particles of plastic that measure less than five milometers. These could be plastics such as microbeads which are manufactured to that size for personal care products or some are created from the process of larger plastics breaking down.

It is thought that the average person unknowingly consumes around 2,000 pieces of microplastic each WEEK or about the weight of a credit card. Most of this comes from drinking water, but some is inhaled or consumed through food.
