On Tuesday, we visited the local hospital in Interlaken. We had a lecture from Dr. Matthias Streich, chief of gynecology & Daniela Hofer, a licensed midwife. This gave us an incredible insight about the process of pregnancy & postpartum here in Switzerland. Knowing how the system works in the states, we were able to compare the processes & learn about the differences.

Yesterday, our program visited Air Glaciers. Since 1965 Air-Glaciers offers around-the- clock, helicopter rescue within Switzerland and worldwide aero-medical evacuations to those who have come to harm in the wrong place at the wrong time. The rescue operations are subject to medical, social and operational criterions. After our visit & lecture, we took a beautiful walk over to the The Trümmelbach Falls.

After our visit, some students used their free afternoon to go paragliding & white water rafting !
