Good weekend of racing at WMKC round 6 with typical British weather, wet all Saturday and dry on Sunday.
Showed good pace on Saturday in the rain qualifying P4.

Could have been better as we made a mistake with pressures in the final meaning that I dropped down places at the end with no grip, but overall happy with my performance over the weekend.

Good day testing at PFi until I lost the rear, can you guess what the problem was 😬

After not racing for a month it’s finally race weekend. I am racing at Whilton Mill Go Karting and Outdoor activities in round 9 of the FastR championship.

Great weekend of racing at Whilton Mill Go Karting and Outdoor activities in round 8 of the championship.
Nice talking to Steve Alvarez Brown (SuperGT) and also had my little cousin coming to watch.
Heat 1 - started 10th, good start gained a few places, after another driver tried a move my front bumper got caught and both of us ended up off track, managed to get it back to 9th.
Heat 2 - was starting 5th but after a rapid engine change due to it failing in the assembly area, I ended up starting last but managed to battle through to 13th. Thanks to the guys at Mad-Croc Karting UK for getting me to the start 🙏
Heat 3 - now on the practice engine for the rest of the day just didn’t quite have the pace, started 13th finished 13th on track but a drop down meant 18th after penalty.
Final - started 11th, finished 12th. A bit underpowered but had some really good battles on track.
Not quite the results we wanted but still learning and improving.

Another late post. Last weekend I raced at Karting showing great pace with a lot of improvement. After a good qualifying (4th) my results in the heats and the final didn’t show my potential but a lot to build from.

Awesome day yesterday putting in some laps at Whilton Mill Go Karting and Outdoor activities to get kart fit.
Massive thanks to Caden McQueen racing for being my mechanic and tutor, as always I learned loads.

WE’RE BACK !!!!
First race back after being out for 6 weeks and my first time GYG Karting loads of learning working with Luke Hughes as my Dad has done his back in.
Improved every session and about 2 seconds over the whole weekend, finishing 25th in the final against a top quality grid. Not where we want to be but getting racing again after 6 weeks was awesome.

Still recovering from my fractured wrist so decided to go to Snetterton on Saturday to watch fellow Rela8 Group driver Tom Jackson in the British Endurance Championship who had a great drive to finish in second place 👏.
Was really pleased to meet Jimmy Broadbent who finished 1st in the Praga, great race 😁.
Also caught up with Cory Chapman Racing walking down the paddock.
Can’t wait to get back racing, only 3 weeks to go 👍🏻

It’s Mental Health Awareness week. I’ve struggled with anxiety since I was 10. I have been through some tough times and in my experience talking to someone and trying to understand why I feel the way I do really helps. Karting is my outlet and the one place I feel totally comfortable, in a funny way the way I have had to cope with anxiety has made me more resilient and a stronger driver.
If you are struggling, take a few deep breaths and talk to someone. You will get through it, I know

This is not the result I was hoping for from this weekend’s racing.
After a total of about 3 minutes of driving I avoided a collision with another driver but unfortunately not the tyre wall. 🥺
After a trip to A&E found out that I have a fractured wrist, so no racing for a few weeks 😢 but things could have been worse.
Also looks like quite a bit of damage to the kart 🤦‍♂️thanks to Mad-Croc Karting UK for your help.
