To say this cake was stressful would be an understatement 🙈 baking in a heatwave is extremely challenging, especially dairy free as it can be quite unstable, but thankfully it survived and the birthday boy loved it!

Todays cake…my goodness it was hot in the kitchen but super happy with how this one turned out. It is a chocolate fudge cake covered with chocolate buttercream, believe me this was stressful in this heat 🔥☀️

This cake is dairy free except from the store bought chocolate that was used to decorate it. My client wasn’t dairy free but I still bake dairy free as it’s so tasty!

Yesterday I spent the day with the amazing Kim Gordon Cakes - Wedding Cakes Glasgow. The day was spent learning new decorating skills which I will hopefully be able to offer to my customers soon!

I thought I should introduce myself, I’m Lynsey and I started baking when my son was diagnosed with several allergies, the main being dairy. I didn’t want him to miss out on anything because of his allergies so I started baking. Over the years I’ve worked hard to find the best recipes and now I specialise in dairy free baking, as dairy free shouldn’t mean taste free.
