For IELTS writing, it's recommended to spend 20 minutes on task one and then 40 minutes on task two.
The best way to practice this time limit is to time yourself!
IELTS Speaking grades you on four things: Fluency and Coherence, Pronunciation, Grammatical Range and Accuracy, and Lexical Resource.
