Secret Quarters Records turns 5!
Time for celebrations here at the Secret Quarters HQ. The story of our tiny record label started 5 years ago, and on September 1st it's the 5th anniversary of our very first release. The first one was Omit's epic double album entitled Repose, and then other releases followed...
It took a little bit of time for us to decide upon the winning contribution to our recent cartoon speech bubble contest! But here it finally is! The winner (you probably know who you are) should expect to be contacted shortly.

We are giving away a signed copy of our debut album to the one who can think up something creative to put inside the cartoon speech bubble that you can see in the picture. Vagrant God - Vagrant God (2012)
I've been an avid Gothic Metal fan ever since I could tell the genres from each other and this album is simply what I've been missing for a long long time . Vagrant God members seem to be crazy about making music as they all work in other projects (with other genres ) such as Omit , Funeral and Skumring , you probably recognize Cecilie Langlie's voice if you didn't miss Omit's debut . in Vagrant God they have created an original and memorable gothic metal sound .
By original I mean ... just look at that album art , I'm sure no one could guess it's for a goth metal album , not in a million years. the music is not THAT different but it sure sounds fresh and well-thought , there are quite a few surprises along the way . I have to say this music sounds very "professional" , not only the whole thing sounds great ... but all of its parts are also beautifully done.
If you're into gothic metal , this band has got it all ... the music, the vocals , the atmosphere , all are damn good. seems like I'm gonna listen to this one for years ... I'm sure not many gothic metal releases will be this good , but I hope I'm wrong .
