Everyone! Closing reception for SLOW MO FLOW: a visual arts exhibition by Becky Hernandez and Poetry Slam Showcase and Open Mic | Belle Art Mosey are this Saturday! The piñata is actively being filled now thru Saturday at the Osage Arts Community art center, where we will bust it open at 3pm in the parking lot (with permission from our neighbors to use their tree) Bring small, light items you would like to contribute to the piñata and use the art materials in the gallery to make gifts, notes, poems and drawings for the lucky winners. See you this Saturdaaaayaaaaaaaaaaay!!

The live painting is over but the work is still up at the Osage Arts Community art gallery. Thank you to the other artists I was blessed to spend time with and watch work through each of their processes, Jeanette Powers, Zophia McDougal, and Josh Crow. I learned so much from watching you all and talking about our work. Thank you Mark McClane and Tony Hayden and OAC for the opportunity, space and time to experiment and grow. In the first few weeks of this large scale live painting endeavor, I felt I was making a very ugly ugly caterpillar. As the weeks went on and I had good friends encouraging me to continue on with confidence, I saw that like everything this would take time, focus and many layers. You may find me in the gallery doing some touch ups still on this monster but I am so happy to have brought it together with the help of such excellent company.
