You could hear a pin drop in our classroom as students participated in a scavenger hunt while learning about the human body. Good job! Even the few that were "sidelined" for 30 seconds due to slight noises were good sports and had a smile. Some interesting facts we learned:
How many hairs do you have on your head? How many hairs do you lose each day?
How big is your heart?
How many times does your heart beat each year? Day? Hour?
Which lung is smaller? Why?
What do the liver and kidneys do?
Made a sandwich for my lunch this morning so I could work while eating. Left it at home. 😳. Sat down and ate with my students. I truly enjoyed visiting with them. Thanks for entrusting your children to LCES.
All our kiddos enjoyed Farm Day sponsored by our high school Future Farmers of America.
Musical Scoot skills review yesterday. Study guides have been provided. Test tomorrow over algebraic expressions.
It's another day of Algebra with Hands on Equations! The problems are getting harder and the students are getting more and more clever!!
Sixth grade is participating in the LCES PTA raffle fundraiser. Our class is bringing things to fill up a bucket with baby items to be raffled off. So far we have a sleeper, pacifiers, and bottles. Please help us make our Baby Bucket the best! If possible please send an item to put in our bucket.
Each grade has a different themed bucket. Students are selling tickets for the raffle to be drawn at parent teacher conferences April 20. Extra tickets are available. The tickets are good for any class' bucket.
Sometimes you just have to sort out all those algebraic expressions.
Sort and match activity. Good job kiddos!
Looking at cells of onion skin and sponge gourd through microscopes. "Soooooo cool!"
