Solasta: Crown of the Magister is a charming D&D game with the energy of a homebrew campaign—the kind where the Dungeon Master maps out a world, writes its history, plans an epic quest, and then the players come along and make bad jokes all the way through it. Thanks to Solasta's Dungeon Maker you can homebrew your own scenarios for it or play those made by others, though don't expect adventures with quite the scope of Neverwinter Nights and its ambitious modules.
When I arrived at Valve to go hands-on with the Steam Deck, I knew I needed to make the one comparison everyone's been waiting for: the Steam Deck vs. the Game Gear. The Steam Deck looks like it could revolutionize on-the-go PC gaming, with a powerful processor and graphics, loads of input options and an OS that works almost as smoothly as a console. But is it really a better gaming experience than Sega's hottest device of 1991?
Are you old enough to remember the eighties? Well, truth be told, I’m not. But, what if you yearn to experience the heyday of mechanical keyboards, just with some modern flourishes? Surely that can’t be done. Well, the New Model M from Unicomp may well just challenge that perception, providing a classic typing experience with the usual creature comforts of lock lights and Windows keys.
The Assassin's Creed Valhalla Sigrblot Summer festival is in full swing, and there’s a new opportunity to put your Viking rap skills to the test. As part of the War Effort quest, you’ll need to Humble Ake. In other words, you need to beat the arrogant sod in a Flyting contest. He’s relatively easy to beat in comparison to other Flyting challenges, so don’t worry too much about it.
That said, if you’ve ignored Flyting thus far, or you just need a refresher, check out our Valhalla Flyting guide. You have until August 19 to complete the Sigrblot Festival quests, but it shouldn't take you that long.
