when you go against the will of God, displeasing God by your Actions and not redeeming a vow vowed in the Church, It makes God repented why he created man.
It makes God go angry and become an enemy with you.
God becomes an enemy with a man who allows Pride to become a way of life. God hates Pride for he resisted the Pride and raises the Humble. Saul looses his Kingship and relationship with God because of Pride.
