Last night my son was riding up the block with one friend when two teens, Hispanic looking, on a moped went next to him and forced me next to a car and pushed him off his bike, took it and turned right on 7th Ave going towards Cascon. Then he turned around and saw kids behind them waiting for them to take the bike and they took it and left. One of the kids was definitely a local kid wearing a blue lanyard from a local high school. Anyone with any information , please contact NYPD 109th Precinct.

APPARENTLY this group has been targeting our kids at the local parks and have followed some home.

We have been getting a lot of messages regarding the fenced in property adjacent to the PS 193 park on 154 street and 11 avenue.

You need to call 311 and file complaints for anything you see out of the ordinary. Garbage. Rats. Dumping. Unkept. Garbage in visible line of sight. Etc.

So it appears our advocacy is working and the help to the 109 is making a difference. One of our neighbors saw a suspicious character checking side doors , called 911 and police were there within minutes. This morning, a neighbor witnessed suspicious activity and called 911, police responded within minutes.

Thanks to all that took on this fight and are making a difference.

New Service Added: Presidents Day Service Update from NYC Sanitation

There WILL BE Collection on February 20, 2023

The New York City Department of Sanitation has announced that there WILL BE collection service on Presidents Day, Monday, February 20, 2023.

Residents who normally receive Monday trash, curbside composting or recycling collection should place their material at the curb between 4 p.m. and midnight Sunday, February 19 for collection starting Monday, February 20.

While the Department strives to offer this service, please note that delays may occur after holidays as we work to collect the material. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
