Thanks to everyone who voted for me yesterday as well as those who helped in the campaign, your support was much appreciated. Unfortunately I narrowly lost by just 20 votes after a recount, a result which shows how literally every vote really does count. However be assured the campaign for more facilities for Lower Sheering continues. Thanks also to outgoing District Councillor Paul Stalker for his hard work for the ward

Out delivering in Lower Sheering tonight
Residents have raised concerns about road defects and potholes in Sheering Lower Road and at the junction with Back Lane. These have been reported and I have raised them with Lee Scott, who is lead county councillor for Highways at Essex CC and he is looking into getting them fixed
My 3 key pledges:
- Push for more facilities for Lower Sheering not just Sheering.
-Work hard to control traffic from J7A.
-Keep Council Tax in Epping Forest the lowest in Essex.
Congratulations Robert Halfon MP ๐
I am truly honoured to have been re-adopted as the Conservative candidate for the next General Election in Harlow and the Villages.
I am proud to call Harlow my home and work hard every day to stand up for Harlow, fight for Harlow and build an even better Harlow.
During my time as MP, I have secured hundreds of millions of pounds of investment to transform our town in the coming months and years; have campaigned tirelessly to cut the cost of living resulting in the National Living Wage, the thirteen-year fuel duty freeze and lower taxes for lower earners; and to champion education skills and apprenticeships meaning we have seen 8,000 new apprenticeships in Harlow since 2010, over ยฃ50 million invested to upgrade our schools and over ยฃ20 million to make Harlow College one of the best colleges in the country.
Iโve also helped thousands of residents, charities, businesses and many others with issues they are facing.
I will continue to work hard for Harlow every single day as your MP and look forward to the next General Election, whenever it comes, and will be standing on my record of delivering for Harlow.
๐ณ๏ธ Vote Conservative on Thursday 4th May.
๐ต Epping Forest Conservativeโs Candidates (pictured) are standing on a record of:

๐ฎโโ๏ธ Funding four police officers who work exclusively in the district and are tasked by the council.
Hello and welcome to my page!
My name is Simon Baker and I am delighted to have been selected as the Conservative candidate for Lower Sheering Ward on Epping Forest District Council.
My wife and I have recently moved nearby in the rural area. I believe that it is very important to be actively engaged in our local Community.
Lower Sheering is unique in many ways. I want to work with residents to make sure that we have a distinctive voice in our own right focused on the needs of Lower Sheering. I will press to make sure money raised from Lower Sheering developments is spent in this area not just in Sheering.
Most importantly I will make sure residentsโ concerns about the impact of M11 Junction 7a especially on Lower Sheering Road are heard loud and clear. Iโve already been speaking with our County Councillor, Cllr Chris Whitbread (pictured with me) and the Cabinet Member for Highways Lee Scott directly. The latest surveys are currently being looked at and a meeting will soon be called to look at the next steps. I am best placed to make sure your voice is listened to.
If elected I think a good step would to be to set up a regular 'Lower Sheering Forum' to look at our local concerns and make sure we get a fair deal from the Parish, District and County Council.
With your support on Thursday 4th May, I will work hard to be a champion for Lower Sheering, with the influence to get things done and make a difference. I look forward to speaking to many local people in the coming days and weeks.
